    Yeah I see where they coming from cos they just stuck in the nostalgia so when a current artist comes up in the song it just ruins that vibe. Just classic old head mentality

    People act like Cole hops on a song on some "scoopity whoop, whoopity scoop" mess like Kanye. Like he's the worst rapper they ever heard. I don't understand the hate/dislike. He's been one of the best rappers out from day one. He's been consistent. Has he gotten better with time? Yes. But he's never been wack. Ever. How do you refer to that verse as "J. Cole starting his bs"? Is Jermaine another one who has to die before people respect him?

    Depends what you give the energy to. Cole is one of the most respected in terms of fanbase. Like rotd3 going platinum is mainly off of Cole's popularity (not to discredit other artists)

    ROTD3 has been out for almost 3 months

    Only down 1 percent from last week but it’s at 18 on charts, last week 20

    21,064 total sales

    Definitely a success

    Plus Under the Sun vid at over 6 million

    I’m gonna sound greedy but...

    If we got a dope mixtape from Cole (The Offseason) and a dope solo album from Cole (The Fall Off)

    A final dope solo album from Kenny

    And then a joint album from Kendrick and Cole....they can both ride out into sunset and retire.

    I wish Cole would have continued the feature run until the end of the year at least, but if he's ending it now then that lets me know he's probably dropping a project soon. He definitely needs one to really cement 2019 as his year. I think it will still be The Off Season as his playlist "Where The f--- Is The Off Season" on Spotify is still being updated when he drops features. Now that the feature run is over I think its coming soon, especially with Mirror Land and ROTD3 out of the way. No projects from other artists are being announced yet so Cole is next up.

    I actually think this will happen. Off Season will drop before the end of 2019 then Kendricks solo and The Fall Off will drop in 2020. Joint album and tour in 2021 then they both retire lol.

    In a weird way if the Kendrick and Cole album actually ever drops then I think the longer we wait the better. A joint album from them in 2021 would sound much better than a collab album that would have came out in like 2013/14/15 or something. They would be much more better developed as artists in all aspects the longer the wait is, not to mention they are now both bigger. Would cause a much bigger impact. Close to watch the throne level

    Remember when IB said it would be a sad day when Cole announces The Fall Off...Cole really gonna retire lol. The album title says already hints at it tbh. I think thats why they made such a big deal out of ROTD3 and pushed it really hard. To get maximum exposure and make sure Dreamville goes strong after Cole retires. Cole can still eat off the artists and IB still has a job managing everyone and the label.

    Also was I the only one kind of dissapointed by Mirrorland? I mean it was a good album but I was kind of expecting some next level s--- to blow me away lol. It was a little underwhelming overall.

    Tbr , I ain’t been back to it since the week it dropped

    All 3 of them eps put together would’ve been a better album than mirrorland, cause them s----s were fire

    joe budden said something about some big names retiring soon on the podcast. I feel like he mentioned cole and Kendrick when he said it.. though I don’t think retirement and rap go together.. nobody retires from rapping. But I wouldn’t even mind if cole took a good lil break from the industry after this next album
