    Cordae dope, but kinda corny at the same time lol…. Listening to his album now, it’s cool so far, I don’t like the production, only song I added to the playlist is the intro and I’m on track 6. This might be a one listen for me lol

    Not at all, I feel like he tries to be super lyrical too much. Sometimes he rambles and his voice/flow can be annoying at times.

    New Joey track is flamessssss. Sounds like Middle Child pt 2.

    I think Cordae, Earthgang and JID kind of all have the same problem. They are all very talented and technically proficient but don’t really have much compelling to say. It doesn’t have to be some deep philosophical stuff or anything like that. I mean, it can be, but really it’s about making music that makes you feel something. Songs/albums about “I always wanted to be a rapper and now I am and it’s cool/sad/fulfilling/hollow/whatever” is just not that interesting. Like that Joey song isn’t anything special in terms of the message but it feels like something.

    I mean honestly Cole was kind of stuck in that cycle after FNL and before making FHD. But once he broke free of that his music has been so much more timeless and potent.

    If anyone has Apple Music and hasn’t yet, play these spatial audio Dolby mixes. Gotta change the setting on your phone to play it. Holy s--- does this sound good. Straight up changes the way some songs sound. Amazing. Punchin the clock came on and I was like, tf this????

    Vinces last album has the mix too and you already know it sounds like god produced it. We need Kenny Beats on The Fall Off

    That Eazy track could’ve been so much better .. the way they used that sample was kinda weak. I love the beat tho, s--- different , the verses good , premo scratches..

    All Eyes On Me is so much better than Options. Earthgang was trying hard for a hit with that Options crap. No need to try so hard. Just let s--- flow naturally.

    JID also got a dope cut with Surround Sound. Dreamville starting ‘22 off nicely
