Aug 21, 2018 Not in the upper tier of his catalogue but a decent album It's cool to scoff at Ja now but he's got more hits than most people
Aug 21, 2018 Yea he absolutely was but unfortunately for him, it was a fairly brief moment because his rise was in the middle of the Jay Z and DMX peaks, and then Eminem came onto the scene at the end of the 90s so Ja Rule was kind of lost in all that. However dude was smart as h---. He parlayed his rise in hip hop into being a mega pop star, go-to-rapper for radio hits with Ashanti and J-Lo and s--- like that. All in all he had an incredible career but it was ultimately destroyed when he beefed with 50 and Em. There’s no denying he was a dominant force in the late 90s early 2000s though. I don’t even really like his music but as time goes by and we get further away from his 50 beef, he seems to be getting the respect he deserves for his contributions back in the day.
