Nov 17, 2017 Lido produced the s--- out of this, but Jaden doesn't even sound comfortable with himself on this. He's constantly trying to be other rappers and straining his voice and flow to get there like he hasn't even put in the hours to use his privileged resources properly. He sounded more comfortable, though admittedly more bland, when I had heard him in the past. My original gripe with him that he has super limited life experience to draw from continues to be a major factor. He's only convincing when he's being an uninteresting 19 year old. At other times, he's being some nonsensical amalgamation of his influences, mainly Drake/Kanye/Gambino/Kendrick, like Logic. This project apparently goes hand in hand with the executive producer's own project.
