Mar 6, 2017 Introducing Arrive, Jay Z's newest company. Shawn "Jay Z" Carter's entertainment company, Roc Nation, today announced a venture capital fund to help startup companies get off the ground. The fund, called Arrive, will provide these companies with "brand services, business development, advisory, and capital to drive growth in their organizations," according to a press release (via Engadget). Arrive will work with a "select group of early stage startups," though none have been named as of yet. Jay Z is already involved in the tech world. He owns the Spotify-like music-streaming service Tidal and is an investor in Uber. In addition to Arrive, Roc Nation's Neil Sirni said in a statement that the company plans to open a traditional venture fund to support its existing subsidiaries. Roc Nation formed Arrive with the help of other venture capital firms including Primary Venture Partners and GlassBridge Asset Management. Primary Venture Partners will work with Arrive in an advisory role, while GlassBridge will "provide institutional and operational support." Founded in 2008, Roc Nation calls itself a "full-service entertainment company." It is a talent agency, with artists like Rihanna and Shakira, as well as athletes like Kevin Durant and Dez Bryant, among its clients. The company is also involved with music-publishing and touring. After Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson sold the franchise, he outbid Jay Z and Beyonce for a Beverly Hills mansion. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/jay-z-wants-to-help-tech-startups/1100-6448469/
