Making the mixtape was a bit difficult. A lot of the songs on it are from albums that I've considered picking beforehand, but I figured that they wouldn't do that well by themselves. This isn't just a combination of random tracks though, as I decided to try to go for a certain mood. I think every member will have at least a few songs that they enjoy, but I hope that you enjoy the tracks that might not usually be up your alley. Without further ado, I present to you...

Very nice playlist. I felt it flowed together very cohesively. This was easier to do as the songs were less varied compared to Wreckless's picks. I was familiar with most of the songs already. A lot of them are from well known Goated artists, which makes it easy for you to get a high score. Hence, i will subtract 1 points for being too safe. I have saved the playlist and will probably revisit this in the future as I really enjoyed it.

    Favourite songs:
    Shook ones
    Climbing up the walls
    Crime story
    Heroin

    Least favourite:
    Physical

    Score: 8/10

    Get Wreck'd review:

First mixtape, I'm already liking this idea. Just feels like a fresh and interesting way to rate music and check out artists we haven't listened too before.

Ill admit the eminem leaks really ruined my plan for this, I fully expected to have my review in for this last Monday as I had a 4 hour drive on my few day section 80 break but spent the drive listening to the eminem stuff (Gf and I broke up a few months ago so being the p---- i am i met a girl from a southern state online and she flew into see me lol so I was busy losing my American virginity for a few days I'm not bragging but f--- she's hot )

Anyways the music, there's a ton of diversity here which I love and why these mixtapes are gonna be fun. Right off the bat i really enjoy the first few songs, added them all to my liked playlist.

Not a huge reggae fan or French music fan, but i mean if you're French I could see the appeal it sounds smooth.

There was a few tracks on here that caught my attention and id never really listened to the artist before. "Night call" and "someday" were pleasant surprises.

I also really enjoyed the Lecrae track "all i need is you"

Overall i didn't love every song here, but i really appreciate the diversity and it's good to know @Wreckless likes a wide range of music rather than just sticking to the same old sound.

    SCORE: 6/10

    Get Wreck’d

    review

Spent the last week with the nastiest flu of my life and had this playlist as the soundtrack of my physical misery. As my bodily temps reached levels almost as hot as Justin’s new girlfriend I came to the conclusion that this must’ve been the most challenging thing to put out into this club and recommend cause, not only is your whole s---, musically, being displayed for others to pick apart and grade; you’re also the first one to be doing it in order to premier this whole new thing we’re doing.

So kudos to you @Wreckless , God knows what kind of schizophrenic abomination I’ll assemble when my turn comes.

The switch from a fun, goofy Wiz song to a goated Linkin Park album cut told me all I needed to know about the type of variety I could expect from this. And I was only two tracks in. Momentum was good up until the reggae track which I wasn’t really feeling honestly.

Aside from Quebec Gold I wasn’t that huge about the French rap either, the genre kinda falls flat for me when I have no idea what’s being said. That being said, the Kavinsky track is a certified bop.

Enjoyed Someday quite a bit, very interesting song all around.

To sum it up, this mixtape had some real gems on it and some songs I found kinda forgettable. These were, though, by no means unlistenable… except for Kingston Town maybe. I had a good amount of fun listening to this as I recovered from whatever f---ing aids variety I was struck by.

ps. Still figuring out how I’ll be reviewing the mixtapes so excuse the messiness on this one.

    6/10

    RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 8/10

This definitely has some cohesion to it. I like most of the songs. My least favorite songs are still good songs, just songs that I don’t feel as much as the others. The song that stands out to me most is Portishead’s “Pedestal”. I think the hip hop integration in the song is very creative.

It feels like a big part of this playlist goes back and forth from workout songs to chill songs. In that case there is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster there that makes for an interesting listen. It was ballsy to put a 10 minute track on here. Overall, it’s a great playlist with minimal skips. @AOTWClub

I thought Get Wreck'd served as a pretty good sample platter of Wrecks music taste which is kinda all I want from these playlists so on that front I'm very happy, for the music itself I enjoyed the majority of it. A few of the rap songs didn't hit for me like Quebec Gold (not bad but the vocal style didn't mesh well with the beat and I overall just liked the other French ones better imo) . Obviously I'll enjoy the Rise Against and LP choices but it's some of the people I wasn't expecting like Machinehead or Kavinsky where I had the most fun, last track is great as well.

I knew that the 10 minute track would probably be divisive, but i also felt like it was the only chance i’d ever get to recommend an aphex song considering the fact that the original album is nearly 3 hours long

I wonder if I will be the only one to include the same artist multiple times on a playlist. I’m trying to keep that to a minimum but idk I feel like I NEED to include some of these songs.

Sorry, didn't have time for a full review, but listened to @Wreckless playlist few times.
Wanted to do a TBT but a quick one now:

I hate it when I don't understand the lyrics, so the french songs weren't really for me. However they did sound really cool so I think if u speak french it can be dope. The rock songs, LP one was great. The others I liked too except the screamy parts which isn't for me. But the rest of those songs were nice! Love how Boarding Pass was the opening on the plane lol.

Anyway, nice balanced PL and I did like most of it!

    7/10
