Jul 2, 2018 idk about kanye vs MJ, but 'ye' is just as bad as any eminem album, including encore brada the kanye stans who made a living out of making fun of eminem stans on this site just fell flat on their face this month this is why the only artist one should ever stan is young thug
Jul 2, 2018 maybe, but i'm honest when I say I'd keep encore over ye. tracks like these I actually enjoy, maybe only for nostalgia
Jul 2, 2018 Not sure @Mike Tyson if ye is revival level bad though. For sure mmlp2, recovery and encore have more memorable stuff
Jul 2, 2018 Why is there a Drake stan in here having a mental breakdown drivelling on about eminem songs lmfao. Scorpion really got these nibbas emotions hurt
Jul 2, 2018 honestly encore is better than any of the albums he released after that, there are at least some inspired songs that sound like eminem in his prime on there mixed in with the dogshit
Jul 2, 2018 ive thought about this. its that arrogant bravado em.... who unfortunately had gone overboard with the drugs/poop. writers block af. hes still effortless here, which is a contrast to his later stuff (which u and others doooo underrate) but @Mike Tyson is right about ye being eminem-level embarrassing. and maybe worse than some of em's stuff, which AT least tends to be interesting, especially for fans. as a kanye fan, there's very little about ye i find compelling.
Jul 2, 2018 Close enough. I only want to f--- my dad. Man, you are still pissed that Kanye's album bombed
Jul 2, 2018 ye isn't that great but I also think people exaggerate how bad it is. It's not a spectacular display of terribleness like revival or relapse. It's just kinda flat and dances around the subjects it's supposedly supposed to be about.
Jul 2, 2018 I was gonna disagree with this post completely but that last line is the truest thing I’ve ever read.
Jul 2, 2018 Yikes at this thread. Michale Jackson has some of the all time hits that every single person knows of or has heard of. Especially thriller. He revolutionized music that still lives onto this day. His influence was insane. Kanye just released a few decent albums over 5 years ago and fell off completely. And is a total mental mess thinking his mental illnesses are super powers to make himself feel better about having mental breakdowns. I do have a guilty pleasure for yeezus, and thinking about playing the album driving to my next doc appointment since it’s over an hr drive. I enjoy saving new music for a long car drive to enjoy and analyze new music. Still playing Drake’s album. With Ye, I still play yikes and that’s it. I really regret buying that piece of s--- tbh. Ik people lose creativity and new material to talk about as they age, but we all know Kanye can do better than that. Unless he is that mentally ill to where he can’t make decent music anymore. That’s fine, and I hope the best for his illness. The s--- is real effecting his brain chemistry. I don’t even think he was ever a heavy drug user so you can’t blame drugs with Kanye. Ive read reports the kardashians are hooked on benzos so he might be on it too, but it’s popular for famous people to use. Now MJ, when he was old and done making music he was abusing ativan, Valium, some other benzo I’m not sure of and his own personal doctor would give him demerol shots before bed and some reports a few times a day some days. The doc travelled with Jackson on some tours. Sometimes I think all the fame and pressure eventually messes with you mentally and can’t go out and do things as a normal human being. Some love the attention but it effects others.
Jul 2, 2018 Obviously. A big handful of tracks on encore are better than anything on ye. I’m not even an Eminem fan but will admit that. If Eminem released a verse like Never enough in 2018 people would go crazy.
