    Jay is clearly the answer. The only reason you could say Kanye would be for personal preference, his versatility, or the fact that he's such a great producer.

    I also said Jay but a catalog with no bad or even average album is a pretty good argument for Kanye too

    Yeah fair point. Even though Jay has had some let downs he can easily match the amount of great Kanye projects.

    its extremely difficult. jay has almost a decade's worth of passable material that kanye doesnt.

    But I feel his first few albums are far more influential than any Kanye album( except for 808s)

    No doubt but that s--- don't matter to me when it's missing a consistent soul/art/message...

    Jay is only talking about his wealth these days.. and even his earlier songs weren't always that creative/deep

    i mean...not really. it's great, but i've derived at least as much joy from jay's work.

    lol pretty sure he's got more than his share of recognition already, and i say that as someone who thinks he's one of the greatest artists of his generation
