his point is that you were willing to overlook clear signs of mental illness when kanye was making great music (especially during the yeezus era), but now that he's making what you perceive to be mediocre music you're suddenly doing all this handwringing about how sad it is that his mind isn't there. let's not act like any of you care about kanye's mental state, you just want good music again.

i think the difference is more than kanye’s mental illness is his own issue when it’s only affecting him, but when his rash behavior takes advantage of his influential celebrity status to push harmful ideas into the mainstream, whether intentionally or not, it becomes everyone’s issue

these same people witnessed kanye mentally decay throughout the entirety of 2016 until he ended up being forcibly taken to a mental asylum and disappeared for over a year. i saw little to no sympathy back then, so it's hard for me to take any of this "omg its so sad to see where his mind is, why is nobody helping him : ((" talk seriously. disagree with his political views if you want (i personally don't agree with him either), but keep your bs moral grandstanding and fake sympathy out of it.

A lot of that is subjective opinion, but I don’t want to fill this thread with more political BS. Let’s just hypothetically say Kanye is able to free more ppl like Kim did with Alice Johnson, or maybe even help get criminal justice reform. And maybe (I highly doubt this will happen) he gets a meeting set up with Trump and Kap, and they somehow reconcile their differences. Possibly, Kanye even helps to moderate the far right a bit and improves the division instead of further inflaming it by just saying f--- Trump like everyone else. And all he had to do to achieve all this is get in Trump’s good graces (because Trump loves flattery/loyalty). Do the ends justify the means? Is it still harmful then?

Lying under oath is very serious, but Kavanaugh is not a r--ist. The FBI will clear him of the accusations and because of the politically motivated smears levied against him, the republican side of congress will look past the white lies and remain sympathetic towards him. It isn’t a matter of my opinion, in my opinion if you lie under oath then f--- you kick rocks, but this is just objectively what’s going to happen, and it’s what would have happened if the roles were reversed.

The fbi doesn’t come to a conclussion in these types of investigations. Essentially, all they’re doing is a vetting. They find background information about a person, put it in a report & give it to the White House/senate. That’s it. Also, I don’t think things like lying about his drinking habits are “white lies” considering all the allegations against him involve him being drunk. They’re very relevant.

You are right that republicans probably won’t give a s--- & will confirm him anyway though. The standard of evidence republicans are demanding for is hardly ever present in sexual assault incidents like this. How often is there a witness to a sexual assault, let alone video or photograph evidence? Almost never. What we can do is look at the integrity of both parties which clearly shows Ford being A LOT more truthful & forthcoming than Kavanaugh.

I used to be a big kanye fan but he's fallen off now. Trying to stay relevent by working with the likes of lil pump. Everyone one is talking about it I know, good publicity. But that video. What has rap come to?!?! Imagine what pac and biggie would be thinking about that?! It's embarrassing stuff. Now he is just taking the piss with this album release date. All be it.
