It’s a difficult album to judge in the context of his other work so I’m struggling with that as well. It doesn’t feely like a full blown Ye album, perhaps because of how many features fill up the already short runtime. But in terms of the music, its really great and enjoyable, the whole thing is a complete breeze to get through and it goes through waves of emotion. Will need to sit with it for a while before I can really compare it to his other work cause it feels like a whole different vibe than a usual solo Ye album. Kinda wanna wait to hear all these 5 albums to get an idea of the overall creative space he’s been in. It feels though that overall he’s trying to emphasize on the “We” idea by just being the canvas for all the artists he loves to express themselves on.

I just would have liked something like All Day, something to go crazy and wild. I felt there was too much singing with beautiful production but for Kanye standards, a little too generic, and some songs sound even unfinished sometimes (just one verse by Ye i.e.)

Yeah Yikes is the closest thing to something hard. But yeah I think it is def not as overtly ambitious and expertimental as his other albums have been this decade but it still contains the feeling that his vision is what brings together all these different elements to make them work as a whole.

I have been listening to these So Help Me God era tracks a lot and I think that would’ve been the album that would’ve ranked among his best with YEEZUS, MBDTF & 808s

I agree, it doesnt really have a hype song, which isnt really a bad thing, but thats the one thing its missing. Songs on it do b--- but they dont get me hype
