Apr 18, 2017 As many know Kendrick considers us to be living in end times. And describes himself as a prophet and a vessel of God. d---. which seems to me is his most apocalyptic album seems to be signalling a lot of things to me in it's message. It is making me start to wonder if he may be one of the Two Witnesses described in revelation. I have a feeling that Kendrick will not be able to make many more albums before the end takes us. As each album becomes more focused, and specific, as well as frantic in his message and tone I think he feels this as well. I believe and I bet Kendrick believes that he has been given limited time to work on earth to touch as many as can be saved before the end comes. That is why the focus on duality in this album, on the fact that we decide whether we "Live or Die." Whether the immortal souls of the people who are his friends and neighbors in Compton and the rest of the black community will be struck down as this world ends with the turning of the age, or redeemed from their cursed state. Kendrick sees the noise, the false prophets, the other "wordly" rappers he calls out, Fox News and Geraldo Rivera, the "lusts" of the world...the money, sex, murder that is our DNA...and recognizes that we are naturally cut off from light. That our bodies are working against the desire of redemption of our souls. Our very state is miserable, wretched filth, and you can see that in Compton, you can see it in Syria, you can see it in the White House. He thinks that there is limited time and limited chances for the redemption of the people who inhabit this earth. This is one of the key messages of his d---.
Apr 18, 2017 Kendrick could literally fart on a track and there'd be people that think it's some type of cryptic message
Apr 24, 2017 I agree with you. I have been thinking about this since to p---- a butterfly. It makes sense to me that the witnesses would come from the last expected place. "Differing weights and differing scales the Lord hates them both." God gives us the opportunity to choose our destiny and in the end gives us over to the desires of our hearts. Whatever we choose. Kendrick certainly has a unique relationship with God and I believe his track DNA and the references of royalty and loyalty are references to his relationship with God. There are humans who are chosen as royalty to make their hearts for God. We are not chosen beause some are more spiritual then others, but because many were called, few responded, and less were chosen.
