Nov 22, 2024 hmm, get me right, it’s a great first listen. But it just feels a bit flat compared to his discography. I feel like he fumbled the Squabble Up, the hardest first verse ever going crazy with edits.. to then just be.. idk, soft. Considering how high the anticipations where for this and his new audience, I feel like it might be a miss. I am just comparing this to all my other first listens of Kendrick. But where would you honestly place this when ranking his discography? Honestly now, after your first/second listen?
Nov 22, 2024 it's still a bit early but honestly I'm not sure. It's gonna be hard comparing this to his last 4 (even if d---. isn't the most well liked) but at the very least im putting it over Section 80. S80 isn't bad by any means but it's never really clicked with me. I like the first half of this album more than the second but maybe I'll have a change in opinion with more listens. Still a great album though,
