Should of never gave him that .38
First of all I have to apologize for the lack of activity in this thread. Windows 10 died on me and right after I got that fixed my hard-drive died on me meaning I lost all my Kendrick Songs. Apart from that college started so I have been very busy.
Now that that my excuses are out of the way; welcome to Week 2 Day 3.
To celebrate Kendrick’s label partner Jay Rocks’ new album ‘90059’ I guess it would be a good idea to pick a track that features both of these artists.
It Ain’t Hard 2 Tell is a track of No Sleep Till NYC a mixtape that K.Dot and Jay Rock collaborated on. This is one of those songs where Kendrick spits a story-telling verse. I don’t have much to say about this song to be honest, things start getting more interesting at the end of the verse, where Kendrick mentions his ‘friend’ who is ready to k---. It’s also interesting to see how Kendrick developed his conceptual verses you can compare this to the more up-to date songs like ‘How Much A Dollar Cost’ and see a significant change in Kendrick’s lyrical skills.

There was a phase where this was my favourite song on the album. When GKMC first came out it wasn't a song that I would bump that often. It took about a year later to really appreciate it.Jehovah, Maximus and Ordinary Joel like this. -
