Been in Europe the past 2 weeks (Italy and Greece) and was surprised to hear mixes of These Walls and King a Kunta when I went to a club. Pretty cool to hear Kendrick get recognition all over the world.

In Italy I went to Rome, the Vatican, Naples, Pompeii and probably the most beautiful place I've ever been to, Capri. In Greece I went to Athens and took a cruise around the Greek islands

the second half of the album is clearly inferior to the first one, stop the massive d-ck riding. Actually, in some way, the album quality starts decreasing since its very beginning with Wesley's. It's good tho, still playing it.

I mean yeah, a lot of the album's stand out monents occur in the first half but this is why we look at projects as a whole and not halves. Its not like the 2nd half dips tremendously either, you still have songs like Hood Politics, You Ain't Gotta Lie, The Blacker the Berry etc. which all hold their own weight.

It's not that big of a drop off. And some of the strongest moments of the album are on the 2nd half: i, TBTB, Hood Politics

It's not big obviously. But after Hood Politics, the button skip is usually a must. And i is not one of the strongest moments (and I am a fan of the single version)

Maybe thats the reason. I hated the single version. Except for the last verse/outro.

The album version works INCREDIBLY well in context, and is just a better track in general.

Momma is incredibly slept on. For Lucy is underrated/dismissed because of the concept/voice (both of which i dont have any major problems with)

It is weaker than the first half, sure.

but the 3 tracks I mentioned (HP, TBTB, i) are most definitely 3 of the strongest cuts from the album
