Sep 11, 2024I could see that. The timing of this is interesting. This comes only 3 days after the Super Bowl announcement, the trailer for which features a gigantic American flag. He drops the song on 9/11 the day of a gigantic American tragedy 23 years after it happened. It’s actually kinda weird hearing him be more vague on this track because I’m so used to hearing him be direct on his recent tracks. I wonder what that random bit of silence was in his last verse? Did he censor himself?

I feel like Drake could try to pull some s--- where he drops the same day Kendrick does but who knows. Akademiks made the claim that Drake is not going for another back and forth due to an “unfair landscape” that won’t judge him the same way they judge Kendrick. He claims the “round 2” means something elseOrdinary Joel, jankland and Enigma like this. -

It would make sense if this was the “street single” before the album. Especially if it entices Drake to respond but I feel like if Drake knows his album is dropping soon, he won’t take the bait. Or he’ll sub him in some feature in a few months again lol.Modli2, Ordinary Joel and Ripper Roo like this. -

Not necessarily a direct diss to Drake. Some lines could be about him but it’s more of a general track with a bigger messageOrdinary Joel, CavalierTD and jankland like this.
