Kendrick Lamar received more nominations than any other artist at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, which take place on February 15. (He's also set to perform at the ceremony.) In a new interview with Billboard, Kendrick was plain about his Grammy hopes: "I want to win them all." He continued: "It’s bigger than me. When we think about the Grammys, only Lauryn Hill and Outkast have won album of the year. This would be big for hip-hop culture at large."

He also talked about being passed over at the 2014 Grammys, when good kid, m.A.A.d. city lost in the category for Best Rap Album. He told Billboard that the loss "would have been upsetting to me if I’d known that was my best work, if I had nothing new to offer." He continued: "good kid, m.A.A.d city is great work, but it’s not my best work. To p---- a Butterfly is great. I’m talking about the connection the record made. good kid, m.A.A.d city made a connection. But To p---- a Butterfly made a bigger connection."

When asked if he's working on a new album, he said, "As far as content, what I want to get across, I have an idea. But even that’s still premature. Once I get back in that studio, things evolve into other things."

I think he would say GKMC was his best work if it would of won the Grammy IMO TPAB might of made a bigger connection but GKMC is the better album

I've already made a thread about this

and he's right, this actually proves that kendrick has evolved as an artist and now he understands music.

Gkmc was great and its easily accessible, but its his worst project, Tpab is his best, s80 comes second and then you have gkmc.
