Jul 4, 201610x worse than LeBron's decision, but if you're a Warriors fan, congrats. Now LeBron will be the certified GOAT if he beats this team.
I called him going to Golden State tho

just do what the NHL does and force cap compliancy. keep it at the 93 million it is or whatever, but don't allow teams to go in to the regular season if they spend a dollar more.
it worked for the NHL, i don't know if theres a more competitive league in sports.asvdawg, Ordinary Joel, PRHYME and 1 other person like this. -

I don't blame KD, but I do think the league needs to do something about these super teams.
Is anyone here going to be interested in games outside of KD's return to OKC and GS vs CLE? Excluding your hometown teams of course. Like why would I care to watch anyone else unless I'm an NBA nut
At least the sixers will look like more than a high school team this year, but what does it matter unless we grab an established superstar within three yearsOrdinary Joel, Enigma, Soldier and 1 other person like this. -

Lol this is the most distorted version of NBA history ever. You don't know the players intent first of all. Plus, fielding other offers while still leaning one way is not unethical. It's f---ing smart. You don't think Durant was leaning towards GS?
And they didn't straight up say they would win 6-7 titles. LeBron made a joke about it. It was obviously a joke. How do you even answer the question, "how many championships will you win?" Of course you have no way of knowing, but you're going to trash LeBron over a joke?
This is classic LeBron hater logic. No matter what anyone else does, LeBron is still worse some how. This IS worse than what LeBron did. Miami was stacked, but beatable. GS now has the two best shooters in the league, plus Durant who's just an all around monster. Golden State so f---ing spam. I love it. Anybody who uses them in 2K next year is a straight-up b----. But is this, on paper, the most talented team of all time? I can't recall a team that had four superstars of this magnitude.Criza Malone Hamilton, Ordinary Joel and asvdawg like this. -

Who exactly is your team, the Clippers because you worked at the Staples Center? There are plenty of ppl who don't have teams (TimmyT) or are far less invested in their team, that could care less.
And I never said the Celtics would compete this year, but with their cap room + guys like Bradley, Thomas and Crowder on bargain contracts, in addition to 3 more potential lottery picks in 17' (probably top 3 in a loaded class), 18' and 19'. Things were really looking up for them. Now it just feel like they might as well blow that team up and get rid of the guys on cheap contracts, except good luck finding takers willing to give up anything significant when the Warriors have the league on lock down for the foreseeable future.lil uzi vert stan, asvdawg and PRHYME like this. - Nov 24, 2025

You can't really compare that to KD and the Warriors. But once again, I agree that anything is possible, but don't kid yourself, the Warriors are now a mega-dynasty.
They already play a ton of small ball, but the fact that they aren't gonna get Bogut or Ezeli back is clearly a concern. Green is a h--- of a rim protector and KD averages 8 boards per game, so I don't think it's the end of the world. The only ting I would say about that is that a bunch of guys are gonna be willing to take the vets minimum to play for that team and get a chance at a ring. They shouldn't have a terrible time finding a solid center. I think the chemistry will be a lot easier to figure out than it was for LeBron in Miami. KD is the perfect Warriors player. Great 3 point shooter and he's gonna get a ridiculous amount of quality looks. There will obviously be bumps in the road and media is gonna try to rip this team apart, but KD is probably the most seamless fit they could've signed. -

I know, I'd like to have seen another year with that OKC core (esp. post-Ibaka trade) but...the Warriors lost to the Cavs, and they almost lost to the Thunder. This by no means assures a championship. Plus, all it really does is accelerate the OKC fall by a year--there's no way Russ was ever going to stay, even if Durant signed long-term.Ordinary Joel, Poohdini and pluto✰ like this.
