I've been an OKC fan since 2010. It's one of the reasons I decided to come to Oklahoma for college because I could go to OKC thunder games. I've been to a bunch and loved all of them.

I got into NBA around 2008 but never had a team for my own, OKC changed that. Westbrook and KD were always my favorite, loved the chemistry. I've seen these guys live, I was at KD's record breaking 55 point game vs GSW and I even met KD in person at the OU gym, got my picture taken too. I was so hyped.

I've been the "there's always next year" fam. I even shed some tears this season with our 3-1 lead blow. This tho, this is the most heartbreaking moment in sports I've ever felt. I'm absolutely sick to my stomach. I cannot believe one of my favorite players left a top 3 team to join a top 2 team.

I hope all these coming wins are absolutely hollow.

you're right, the lack of parity is the worst thing, i totally agree. but as we all know, the vast majority of teams usually don't win a title unless they have 2 really good players. sometimes, such as in this case, that will lead to things getting out of hand/going over-board with all the talent loaded on one team. i don't think there's much they can do about this problem

the reason the NBA is easily the league with the least amount of parity out of the 4 major american sports is because in basketball, its only 5 on 5. therefore, the superstars in the NBA have the biggest impact on the game. whereas in MLB, NHL AND NFL there are obviously more players on the playing field---so it evens things out a lot more. i mean, sure, superstars in baseball, football and hockey have a big impact on the game too--but not to the extent that they do in basketball---and its mainly because in basketball it's only 5 on 5

KD is a b----. If he would have gone to any other team, h--- even NY, I wouldn't care. He could have won with OKC too if he just sat down with Westbrook and talked to him to figure s--- out. But nope he chose the gutless route and signed with a 73 win team lol.

And don't even compare this to Lebron going to Miami. Lebron went to a team he was already better than and teamed up with his boy Wade. Durant just went to a team that's better than him and he arguably won't even be the best player on the team or even the leader.

I don't understand the whole NBA lacks parity argument. Cleveland and Golden State just won NBA titles. Neither of those teams had won championships in decades.

The NBA is completely different now. More small market teams have been in the playoffs. The Clippers have been relevant for the past five years. The Knicks, Lakers and Bulls all missed the playoffs last year, that wouldn't have happened in the 80's.

Who knows if KD will do good in GS. It took Miami a while to gel, plus he has a player option next year and we could be going through this all over again.

More small market teams may be in the playoffs, but it doesn't change the fact that there's no way teams have a chance to beat GS or Cleveland. The lockout/ new CBA was supposed to help small market teams, and not make the league so top heavy, but it probably did the opposite.

i wonder if egos gonna clash with Durant & Curry, it's like there's too many cooks in one kitchen. surprised OKC never won a championship with both Westbrook & Durant but they came close. i can see OKC on the decline in the near future. hope i'm wrong cause Westbrook is a beast but not sure if he can carry a whole team on his back.
