May 27, 2016 Overall solid project. Track by Track Review: 1) f--- It: First track is going to be a grower. Definitely was not feeling the beat and chorus at first but I really dig the verses a lot, but Gates always has a hot verse. The chorus is definitely a grower though and it'll be stuck in my head all d--- day. f--- yo DJ 7/10 2) The Prayer: Seen a few people not like this track, and I somewhat get that. I kinda wish we got a version without the chorus. However, Gates goes nuts on that first and second verse and the beat is infectious, some zaytoven s--- (really only say this because it's a keyboard lmao) 8/10 without chorus, 6.5/10 with chorus. 3) Believe In Me: Pretty generic track for Gates to release at this moment, and I am not too crazy about this beat. Might grow on me in the future but I won't be too quick to come back to this one. 5/10 for averageness 4) Click House: I think the beat fits OG Boobie Black fairly well, very ignorant track and I like that a lot. Really like Gates flow on this one throughout his verse, and excited to play this one with the homies. 7.5/10 as the chorus could drive you nuts once in a while 5) Great Example: Pretty standard Gates track, and that is definitely not a bad thing. One of those slower tracks for the gym for me for sure, and I will be yelling this chorus at the top of my lungs the next chance I get after taking a few jello shots. 8/10 6) Lil n-----: Great introspective Gates track. Really dig the beat and Gates created a great chorus like usual. The verses were pretty good as well, but nothing about this track is groundbreaking for Gates. 8/10 7) Showin Up: Hot f---ing d--- this beat. Definitely the highlight of the tape for me so far. This song kicks. Gates flows on this thing with no breath once so f---ing ever. The guy is nuts, this song is nuts. Who knew Autotune Gates would be so infectious? Probably everyone actually 9/10 8) Off Da Meter: Best hook on the whole tape imo. Little upset we only got one Gates verse on this thing, but the verse lived up to Gates standards so that's alright. Pretty nice way to finish off the project as a whole 7/10 Project was pretty standard for a Gates project. However, Kevin has raised the bar so far that his standard project is still above average. Gates puts his heart into this project as he does about everything, and if you are a fan of Gates, you will be a fan of this tape. Overall Score: 7.25
May 27, 2016 I hate that it's short but on the other hand he's not oversaturating the market which is good for him in the long run
May 27, 2016 This has been on repeat all day. OT, but is there any reason why LBS is only nine tracks on Apple Music?
May 27, 2016 theres an "album version" for stuff like itunes and spotify and google music and then there is the mixtape version with all the stuff that gates put on their original at like datpiff and the like. Same thing happens with stranger than fiction
