    In April, Kevin Gates was sentenced to 30 months in prison for a weapons charge in Illinois, following a 180 day sentence for a battery charge from 2015. According to a report from TMZ, he'll be released on Wednesday, January 10


    Per a spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Correction who spoke to TMZ, Gates will be out on parole, and his release conditions "include mandatory supervision and no possession of firearms."
