    Also @Poohdini , I'll be surprised if I make it to opening tip without getting teary eyed tbh lol. The atmosphere/intro/tribute videos is gonna be too much for me, I just know it lol.

    My guess is 1 of 2 things happens: 1. They retire both. 2. They ask Kobe which he'd rather have retired and go with whatever his answer is. The reason is the stats/accomplishments he put up with each number were VERY similar so there's certainly not an obvious favorite or anything, so that's how I see it going..

    Anyways guys holy s--- this is too crazy...Can't believe I'm here and going tonight..Just walked down to staples center and checked everything out, the team store is absolutely ridiculous right now lol, basically all Kobe merch with jackets costing 6k, a 38k hat, everything you could possibly imagine...People all over the place, news cameras all over the place. I haven't slept since Monday night but I feel great and doubt I'll even try to take a nap before hand, not the least bit tired.

    There's some pre game stuff outside the arena starting at 4, I'll probably check that out too. It's been a really cool day already, even the flight was pretty awesome, spent about half of it talking to the guy next to me about Kobe, the Lakers, basketball etc.

    Exactly what I was going to say. I can't say he's on the same level but he's definitely the closest we'll ever see again. I feel KD is the same way to an extent. Players are just different now, though. Everybody is so g.d.'d friendly. The days of NBA players with mean streaks are long gone.

    Yeah it sounds kinda cliche or whatever but I really think it's most likely gonna be true, players these days are a little softer in general. It's hard to imagine someone coming along with that relentless passion Kobe has, but it's certainly not impossible. I hope someone like that does come along again, doesn't even need to be as elite as Kobe of course but just seeing that kind of passion and killer instinct again would be nice.
