Blasting News reported that Eminem could possibly stop making new music. Rumors have it that the "Partners in Rhyme: The True Story of Infinite" documentary is an obvious hint that the 44-year-old rapper might retire very soon.

It's kind of a thing in all music. Moreso in rap, yes. But if you look at all the other genres most of the ones who are close to or already a senior aren't that relevant anymore. It's kind of just how the country is with people that are much older. People in general write them off. I'll never know why it's more of an issue with rap though.

That's because of physical health. A 60 year old can rap but you won't see him playing in the NFL.

Because rap music and acting/dressing like a thug go hand in hand. Talking about b------s, clubs and money are all things associated with rap music which is cool when you are a teenager or a young adult but less cool when you are 50 years old.

I don't buy it. Em and Shady Records are not involved in the Infinite remastered and in the documentary. The Bass Brothers are doing this without his authorization.

Rappers often say it's a young mans sport. That age matters most in sports and rap. What Jay and Em are doing at their age in rap is unprecedented.

Age plays a role because the content and subject matter of rap just don't sound right coming from a 50 year old dude. That and style, skill, and trends change and the older rappers have historically failed to adjust. Jay has been able to stay relevant pushing 50. Eminem is about to do the same. If these 2 break the mold others will probably follow. But up until now, it just hasn't happened.

This is just my view on the subject. I could definitely be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time haha.

Ehh... Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube and i'm sure many others are all older than Eminem and still relevant.
