One of my favorite films of all time..probably in my top 10. I don't know what to say about this great experience that I, or anyone else who has seen hasn't said already. Possibly one of, if not the finest Bill Murray performance, as well as Scarlett's.. 9.6/10

Let me start off by saying.. I enjoyed this a lot more than MOST. I personally think it's one of Woody's best stories, I was s----d into the atmosphere at first glance. It's a pleasant, Jazz Age experience about seances and the silly rich. In its heart, though, it's closer to previous Allen films like "Scoop," "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion" and "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger," all of which I enjoyed with great pleasure..with multiple viewings...it never takes it's self seriously, like the films mentioned & that's what I like about it. It's a story of love and honesty which remains with you long after the credits have rolled.. 8/10

D'Jango on Netflix. Haven't seen it for like a year. Such a good film.

    Nightcrawler (2014)

Nightcrawler criticizes scare journalism and exploitative film violence seamlessly. The fact that you can't tell which is which drives the point home that much further. Its meta commentary is so precise that when the characters review a scene from moments before, your own inner monologue becomes their reaction. It feels dirtier that way, like the p--- still running after the high from your climax fades.

Elswit handles this convention of meta filming with an expert hand, keeping the carrot on a string slightly out of frame. Gyllenhaal seems to be in the prime of his career at the moment, and his work here is further proof. He perfectly channels the creeping social falsities and plastic mannerisms fit for a character as comfortably hollow as Patrick Bateman or The Cable Guy. Pretty d--- good film.

It's a good movie but not that special. I would give it a 6.5

Really enjoy this movie. Even though a good majority isn't based on the real events it's the first time I heard about the events the film is based on

Horrible Bosses 2, I thought it was ok. There were a lot of moments that I thought were funny but it did not live up to the first one.

I'm sure I've seen you give at least 10 films 10/10 ratings. Why 9.6 here?

    Mockingjay: Part I - 79/100

Seriously, after the first film, who would've predicted this series would be as good as it is? Catching Fire was probably my favorite blockbuster of 2013, and Mockingjay Part I is continuing that same level of quality. It's much less action heavy than the previous two, which I was okay with as I've always felt the series was at its best when it focused on the political conflict/drama as opposed to the games action scenes and "romance". The acting is mostly excellent, particularly from Hoffman, Lawrence, and Harrison (who's criminally underused here). Julianne Moore is good in her more intimate scenes with Lawrence and Hoffman, but lacks an authoritative presence when it comes to her "speech" scenes. Josh Hutcherson's presence continues to take me out of the film (he really doesn't feel like he belongs here, and sticks out in comparison to the rest of the cast), but it's a minor enough feeling I can ignore it. The action that is here ranges from decent (the first scene with the bombers at the hospital) to slightly overdone (running to the bunker during the airstrike) to phenomenal (the final rescue mission), but it's really not the focus and the film is better off for it.

I'm actually quite surprised that the film has gotten such a relatively low score on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. Several people have cited "poor pacing" as a main issue, but I was never bored watching this. The ending also worked for me, as it seemed a fairly natural cap to the film's story. So idk, I thought it was pretty great.

I've always gave this film a 9/10.. and it's one of my all times favorites. It's #10 in my top 100. I just feel what he whispered to her at the end of the film should have been known to the audience. Dumb complaint I know, but that's what keeps it being a perfect 10. Everytime I watch it, it keeps getting better for me tho.. that's why it's a 9.6.. I'm sure I'll be giving it a 10/10 eventually.

I think the whisper in the ear was a perfect way to end it, it will always leave us curious but it gives you hope and a strong sense of security that they'll eventually find each other again and nothing will break their intimate bond.

smh. I'm one of the biggest advocates for Catching Fire, but you really missed the marker here. The movie was downright awful.
