    Hacksaw Ridge. Was cool, although they made it too Hollywood and added a bunch of s--- that didn't really happen.

    Like soldiers waiting for the lead character to pray before they strike. Trump would kick his Christian a--- out of the army.

    Yeah it's unfortunate cos if they had not added the fake stuff, it would've been a really cool and genuine movie.

    Been on a movie binge the last few days. I watched autopsy of jane doe, the founder and Kong. Autopsy of jane doe was way better then i thought it would be although i didn't like the last scene all that much. Felt like the whole movie was original and different then the last scene just fell right in to typical horror.. The founder was great. I never knew the story and it was really interesting, and Keaton was good as always. Kong was just ok. Kind of boring. Fight scenes were sweet but the rest was meh..

    film does a good job of building suspense. good all-around acting and humor thrown in at all the right moments. and some of the things that happened, you would have never guessed. so in that respect, it wasn't too predictable.

    Arrival (Villeneuve, 2016) ★★★☆☆
    It was cool, but it didn't know whether it wanted to be Terrence Malick or Christopher Nolan. Interested in reading the short story it was based on.

    Fences: Decent film. Definitely feels like a theatre adaptation but strong performances from Denzel and especially Viola Davis kept my interest.

    Manchester By The Sea: Really liked this one. Had high expectations and they were met for the most part. Like Fences, this is another tightknit family drama but it feels much larger than a Pittsburgh house and yard. Manchester is it's own figure and represents suffering for the main character. Casey, Michelle, the nephew all did great work here. I'm a sucker for flashbacks and I love how they were used.

    I was watching Saving Private Ryan on cable at a friend's house the other morning. Great movie, I could watch it a thousand times and never get bored. I actually ordered the DVD from eBay.

      Through a well handled narrative, Loach maturely tackles the beaurocratic forces which quietly victimize the poor and ill-equipped. Superb acting and highly comedic when conveying the ridiculousness of certain governing procedures.

      A trip into the surreal dreamworld of man unhinged, rife with imagery of the many transformations of an untethered mind.

    Finally watched Logan, had me in tears man :to:

    Almost want to say 10/10 but the 3rd act got a little slow so 9
