    Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

i didn't know much about this movie going into it. but i ended up enjoying it quite a bit. jennifer lawrence doesn't get enough credit for her acting. she's definitely one of the better actresses out right now. if you like movies about family, relationships and football....you'll probably really enjoy this.

i thought this was a solid film. really like justin timberlake's performance. the fact that this is a true story is disturbing. but it does a good job of sending a message.

^ julia is so beautiful in that

    Searching For Bobby Fisher (1993)

this is a very good family drama. something that is appropriate for everyone. i like how josh has 2 mentors that seem to be polar opposites of each other but both benefit the boy. he also doesn't get too discouraged throughout his ups and downs of playing (and learning from his tough teacher) chess. good stuff

Giving Capone a 3 is generous. Honestly one of the worst movies I’ve seen in resent memory. A legit 1/10 :')

I did a 30 day trial of that, criterion streaming service is amazing. I’m prob gonna subscribe in the near future but I haven’t been watching a ton of movies lately so I wanna make sure I’m gonna use it.

One of the greatest things about it imo is that it’s curated rather than algorithm based

Oh man, yeah it’s awesome. It’s also cheaper than Netflix. I was kind of in the same place before subscribing, just didn’t find myself in a movie mood but what happened is where there’s so many good movies on here I find myself ACTUALLY watching movies more instead of passively throwing on Netflix originals for background noise. I’d seriously recommend

Yeah same, one of my goals recently has been to be more active picking what TV/films to watch rather than just throwing on some bs I don’t have to pay full attention to. Was an easy habit to get into during quarantine just cuz you have so much more down time.

Finally got around to watching Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I’m a sucker for the “fictional history” type of movies. I did enjoy this, tbh I enjoy anything Leo is in. Seeing two actors of such stature on screen together is amazing tbh. The ending kind of caught me off guard and tbh not a fan of it. Not what I thought would happen, but hey that’s what he was going for. Loved Pitts character. Overall I liked this movie, but id likely rank it somewhere in the middle of QTs filmography. 6.5/10
