Aug 28, 2016 Hey guys, so this is my first time in this section. I typically stay in Future or music section. But today I come to you with 2 questions. First off, has anyone here owned or leased a Hyundai Genesis coupe? What were your thoughts on it? What are anyone's general thoughts on this car. I am looking at getting a 2012 3.8 R spec this week. I like the look of it, it's sort of a cross between the FRS and a normal Accord. It's a bit more spacious than most sport coupe's ive seen, and I actually rode in it for a test drive, enjoyed the ride. The only thing is it is manual and I have only ever driven automatic. How long will it take me to be serviceable (2 minute drive to work and back) at driving manual
Aug 29, 2016 2 minute drive to work? Why even bother driving? Manual is pretty easy to pick up, you'll get the hang of it in a day or 2.
Aug 29, 2016 I learned to drive in a 5 speed car and also took my drivers test in it. It's different for everyone but for most it's pretty easy to get the hang of.
Aug 30, 2016 cant offer much on learning to drive manual its just something you learn as you go, but if you're looking for cars ive owned a mk7 GTI (2015-2017 models) for a year now and i have 0 complaints. Its great on gas, tons of room being a hatchback, very quick car, and interior is way better than cars in its class. Watch a few reviews on it on youtube and go take a test drive, you wont be dissapointed.
Sep 5, 2016 Because I live in a college town and often go out. Having my own car is freedom to go anywhere. That's good to hear about the manual learning curve. I didn't get the car I was looking at, gonna boost my credit this month then go for it.
Sep 7, 2016 Here where I live manual is the main transmission type and very easy to use, I thought i'd never get used to it before i started driving. Plus you could probably accelerate faster in a shorter time span and they have better fuel economy.
