Today (Sept. 29), the Chicago rapper revealed that he will be enrolling in school in order to get a degree in computer engineering. “I got two college visits today. They tryna give me full scholarships,” he said in an Instagram video. I gotta do a few shows and when I come back, I’m going to ISU [Illinois State University]. I’m gonna go check out the campus and meet with a couple of the staff. Just to let you know I’m not bullshitting. I’m going to school for computer engineering. I’ma do two years first. If I get pass them two, I’ma f--- around and go back for the other two.” Lil Bibby explained how he’s got everything planned out. He even claimed one school is offering him a basketball scholarship. “I got it all mapped out. I’m on my s---. They think I’m bullshitting. I’m going to college, man, fareal. You’ll have to call me Dr. Bib in the future. And I got another college tryna give me a full basketball scholarship, but I know I’m washed up.” It will be interesting to see how collegiate life affects Lil Bibby’s music career. Plenty of rappers have balanced both, but Bibby already has a busy schedule. The former XXL Freshman’s next move is to drop his long awaited FC3 the Epilogue album. The LP, which can be pre-ordered now on iTunes, is due out on Nov. 18.
