Jan 6, 2020 illmatic, and the wu tang albums are all east coast albums that rap about street s---, and true 2 myself is an east coast album, and lil tjay raps about street s---, but he raps about more. like the girls that have been scummy and his come up. he also does so with great piano production and his melodies engage the listener better than rappity raps about sippin moet and holdin tecs. he also flows better on true 2 myself than all wu tang members, and he flows better than nasir himself. the production once again is better than anything that monkay eared preemo could do, and rza's production is outdated.
Jan 7, 2020 depends how you define 'generation’. If you mean the broader category you can (loosely) lump Tjay into then its probably Polo G’s Die A Legend
