Jan 4, 2016 I'm a lil late to the party but Luv is Rage is great. Def would make it somewhere in my top 25 projects of the year.
Jan 7, 2016 Lol remember when you said how much you hated travis cause of how derivative he is and now you gonna say you're f---ing with Uzi? LOLOLFOH #hivemindassniggas
Jan 7, 2016 Of course, any time someone says anything negative about Travis it's because they're sheeple that follow whatever pitchfork tells them. I don't actually hate Travis. He's derivative, but I don't hate him. I used to listen to him quite a bit back when OP came out. And really, there's nothing wrong with liking music that's derivative, my problem is just that people paint Travis as this huge innovator when he isn't. LUV is clearly influenced by Thug/Migos and that's fine. I'm not saying he's at the forefront of innovation. There's a big difference between "Rodeo AOTY" and "Luv is Rage would be in my top 25 favorite projects of the year." I wouldn't fault you for having Rodeo in the lower end of your top 25.
Jan 7, 2016 I don't know about other Travis fans but me personally I could care less about how different he is or how he bites other artists or whatever. If the album is sonically pleasing to my ears, I'll tell you about it. Rodeo and this mixtape are the best projects I've heard this year and would have no problem putting them above 56 nights and Barter 6. I just like their charisma, their production, their voice, lyrics etc. so much more( like a whole lot more) than Thugger or future(even though all the projects I mentioned are in my top 10). Sure Travis isn't the one who invented this sound( anybody who says this with a serious undertone is outta his/her mind lol) but I LOVE the direction he took it in on Rodeo. Idk maybe travis & Uzi are just more accessible to the mainstream listeners. s--- maybe I need to listen to more ATL artists. But right now my list goes like Travis>Lil Uzi>Future>Young Thug
Jan 7, 2016 k but saying you like travis's lyrics and charisma doesnt mean theyre good or that he actually has any
Jan 7, 2016 Lol b obviously when I say s--- like this it's my opinion I'm spouting about. Nothing objective ever comes outta my mouth and good that you didn't get plussed.
Jan 7, 2016 word well i understand thinking rodeo is a great album. but thinking its better than everything future and thug did in 2015? out also, while uzi is clearly derivative of the current ATL (and in a lot of ways his work on LUV has similarities with travis's earlier work) the reason someone like @BigCountry or myself like him more could have to do with him as an MC vs Travis. its not hypocrisy to think x pulls off something better than y u dig
Jan 7, 2016 Yeah but they're all like 1% apart from each other on this list I got tho. If Rodeo's a 100, Barter 6 is a 98 so you know, not much of a difference there. Plus Travis is lyrically number 1 his shouting flow gives me goosebumps he's so good etc.
