Lil Wayne’s Gone ‘Til November, a memoir based on diary entries he wrote while incarcerated in 2010, is just a few weeks away from release – but today Page Six has revealed some of the details Weezy shares in the book. While it goes into who visited him in prison – Puff Daddy and Kanye West, Drake (who hurt Wayne’s feelingshaving slept with one of his exes), a girlfriend who tried to “do a Basic Instinct” and female prison guards who were supposedly sweet on him – the more interesting bits are about what happened when wasn’t entertaining outside guests. At one point during his one-year sentence, Wayne officiated a wedding for two of his fellow inmates. He helped decorate with toilet paper and everyone who attended the ceremony toasted with Gatorade. “Gatorade is liquid gold in this b----…Imagine seeing grown-a--- men in jail hanging tissue for wedding decorations. AND one of them is Lil Wayne. Crazy.” Gone ‘Til November is out October 11 via Penguin Books.
Sep 26, 2016 I'm not being sarcastic, but that's actually really kindhearted. Wayne decorating for his gay friends in prison and orchestring the wedding. Much respect for Wayne for not letting homophobia get to him and completely looking past that, only to find care for fellow human beings. Reminds me of Matthew McConaughey with Jared Leto in Dallas Buyers Club.
Sep 26, 2016 d---. I know you only like rappers like Big Pun, Black Thought, Ghostface Killah, The GZA, Sean P, and the like, but Wayne in his prime could truly compare to those cats. I'm the least homophobic dude I know. And even "I" feel like that's somewhat sus. Still can't erase what he did for Hip-Hop from 2004 to 2008. At least admit that.
Sep 26, 2016 I wasn't just talking about the wedding, which btw isn't like a decent, wedding on the outside (whether it's a gay or straight couple), but a wedding in Rikers with toilet paper. I was also referring to Drake smashing his ex while he was in jail and his thot pulling a Sharon Stone. Hence, cesspool. I listen to Danny Brown, Flatbush Zombies, Bodega Bamz too. What's your point?
