Feb 16, 2017 Gotta say i was pretty let down by this song. I love their heavy stuff but some of their more recent slower stuff i like too, so it's not that. This song just feels really generic, even the lyrics are generic. I keep feeling like the beat is gonna pick up but it never does..
Feb 16, 2017 Holy h--- this song sucks. I've been a LP fan since I was a kid. Love most of the albums besides a thousand suns. But wow this is bad and pop as f---. I'm shocked.
Feb 16, 2017 i like the cover tbh. im pretty sure this gonna be their last album maybe. but anyways reminds me of like one last time or whatever, maybe its "them" as kids
Feb 16, 2017 not a bad single im guessing this albums gonna be heavy electronica bass pop rock maybe idk im big linkin park fan
Feb 16, 2017 Apparently, they said that they wanted to create their most pop'ish sounding song yet. A la taking more risks... I accept their reasoning, but I h--- not accept the outcome. Garbage. I hope this isn't an indicator of what's coming on the album.
Feb 16, 2017 They usually have a nice variety of songs on their albums so I'm not worried; not that I dislike "Heavy." No, it's not their best work but I'd take this Chainsmokers style over The Hunting Party any day. Also if they could get Albany back on their tour schedule and if Chester could not break his foot a week before the show that would be fantastic.
Feb 16, 2017 i like Heavy, but it's distinctly... uh, not Linkin Park lol sounds like what's happened to M5 on their last 3 singles
Feb 16, 2017 This the least LP sounding song they've ever made. And that's saying a lot because they made a lot of radio pop tracks on their last two or three releases.
Feb 16, 2017 A thousand suns (which I absolutely love) was the last time they were actually experimental. Like after that, every album they say they're experimenting and creating something new but it's just getting more and more generic and poppy Anyone agree or
Feb 17, 2017 Living Things was them trying to recapture their old sound. In that regard it was a success, but you're right in the sense that it wasn't experimental. The Hunting Party was an attempt at a more analog sound I think. If you listen to their earlier stuff, most of it sounds like they found a riff they like and built a song around it. The Hunting Party didn't do that. It clashed with everything I love about LP. I know fans said they were let down by A Thousand Suns but I like it. I hadn't felt abandoned until The Hunting Party. "Heavy" brings that theme of building a song around a riff back, which is why I have higher hopes for One Last Light than I did for The Hunting Party.
Feb 17, 2017 it's weird, cause i swear i thought people LOVED the hunting party when it first came out because it was 'heavy' or some s---. i remember arguing with someone telling me they thought it was their best album since their early stuff and they were so glad they were done with stuff like living things, which is odd, because that album felt like a natural continuation of their original sound to me, whereas hunting party just felt like they were pandering to people who just wanted heavy s--- and didn't like any of their electronic stuff
Feb 17, 2017 "The Hunting Party" may have been what their metal fans really, really wanted. But I'm glad they're moving back into a more melodic direction. One of the things that have always made Linkin Park stand out in the Nu-Metal genre is their gift for melody. But this single isnt good. With Maroon 5, I like their new single with Future because its more minimalistic unlike their very bombastic albums "Overexposed" and "V". But this is too far of a reach for Linkin Park. Maroon 5 has always had a pop sound, so them churing out souless pop hits is more forgivable? But Linkin Park? We expect something that doesn't sound like the top 40.
Feb 17, 2017 i'm in the opposite camp, i'm really upset about the last 3 singles maroon 5's put out (summer's gonna hurt like a MFer, cold, don't wanna know). those songs are nothing like maroon 5 other than being pop and having adam singing. this song i can take because it reminds me of some of the slower songs on Living Things that I like, and I like that it's short. and I know we'll get more of the band on the album for sure, and that should balance things out. m5 on the other hand i'm not sure what to expect from whatever their next album is if 3 songs in a row have come out now and they're literally all so watered down i can't stand them
Feb 17, 2017 wow linkin park fans awesome, i honestly love all their albums. I actually really enjoyed hunting party
