Jul 5, 2016 I like Logic, I really do But he's without a doubt the most impressionable artist I've ever heard. Dude flat out bites all of his contemporaries.
Jul 5, 2016 For 2016 Logic wanted to release songs every month which would be a remix to other songs. After his album released, he released Tree Of Life in Januaray and remixed the Alessia Cara song, "Here" which was released in February. He never released music until June which was, "Flexicution" which is also a song from, "Bobby Tarantino" Instead of releasing new songs every month he waited for the summer to release a mixtape. Each song on this Mixtape is a remix. But due to issues with DefJam and streaming issues with Apple, Spotify, TIDAL, SoundCloud and more, He had to use the sample instead of remixing it. Slave II: Rambo - Bryson Tiller / Summer Sixteen - Drake Super Mario World: Still Here - Drake 44Bars: Charged Up - Drake OR 30 For 30 - Drake Slave: All Day - Kanye Deeper Than Money: Hood Politics OR Institutionalized Logic Also stated for Slave II: fun fact. it isnt sampled however. originally this entire mixtape was meant to be exactly that. a mixtape rapping over other people beats with only a few original songs much like my and many others older mixtapes. however half way through the tapes creation, a conversation with management about streaming the project changed that. so certain songs that originally were going to be over other known beats had to be completely changed. and much love to bryson, i wish i could have released it over Rambo. but we made our own beat from scratch in the same key. and added the second half for a fun switch up.
Jul 5, 2016 kind of sounds like q-tip on that track he selecteed biting kendrick's beat I actually like the production but he should just say release it as a remake like Elzhi did edit: above post seems to explain everything
Jul 5, 2016 To be fair to logic he did say that at first this was going to be a mixtape where he was going to rap over other people's beats. He had to make his own beats in the end so it could be streamed.
Jul 5, 2016 Doesn't really matter if its a mixtape full of remixes or not...biting his peers is the only thing this man ca do.
Jul 6, 2016 i know. He wouldnt have sampled it without hearing oddisee's s--- first though. its pretty obvious that he just copied oddisee.
Jul 6, 2016 youre either deliberately missing the point or just an idiot. They both used the same sample, oddisee used it first (used it better) logic heard Oddisee's song and then thought to himself that he would use the same sample. its more biting from logic. lets be honest there is no way he hear Grizzly Bear and decided to create this beat without hearing Oddisee
