Lupe Fiasco is dropping a new EP July 24th titled HOUSE. What's interesting about this is Lupe just happened to be on twitter and saw one of this guy's beats. He liked it so much, he did another track with him and later on decided to a whole project with him!

First Single featuring Virgil Abloh titled SHOES out Now!

No one gives a f--- about Lupe anymore. Bizarre how it has so little views

You know me though. It could have 1 view for all I care. I don't need to see views or followers for validation. I'm still going to check it out.

Tetsuo and Youth and DROGAS Wave are great albums, and I still listen to them.

    For me
Food and Liquor and The Cool are as good as albums can get

Then Lasers and Food and Liquor 2 were average but still had some good tracks

Could not get into Tetsuo or anything after

One of the best lyrical rappers ever. It baffles me how he faded away. This song is incredible.

DROGAS Wave was really good. You should give it another chance.

Problem with Lupe is that he grew up too much. F&L and The Cool didn't seem much more than a shot at mainstream success. And it paid off, they were both great albums that you heard everywhere and everyone was talking about them at the time.
Lasers and F&L2 were absolute misses which diluted what fanbase he had left.
T&Y and DW were great albums but he was recreating himself because of his lost fanbase. Neither of these albums had the commercial appeal of F&L and The Cool which ultimately gave him the numbers he got. I'll always still f--- with him though and it's good to see him continuing an upward trend. Albeit ridiculously slow.

I understand what you saying, but it sounds like you're only addressing the reach and music business aspects of his career. Lyrically he's always been there, and in terms of just the music itself he's had misses and he's definitely had some wins, even in the later half of his career.

We really penalize music artist that have had success in the business, but when they go indie or try another lane we feel that's unacceptable or they are less successful because they didn't top their previous body of work. "Oh your new album isn't better than your last?? You're trash now!"

Oh absolutely! I just simply mean he lost the vast majority of his original fanbase and couldn't regain them with a matured offering.

Mural is one of the most mind bending songs ever. Probably one of my favourite Lupe tracks. Especially when grouped with Mural Jr. Phew.

Track gave me chills at the end when I put it all together conceptually. Love this beat, and ready to buy as many copies of this EP as I can.

Same man, couldn’t give a f--- about the public’s interest to Lupe - or lack of it. Part of it is a disgrace on the part of the public, but it’ll never sway my appreciation for what he’s done lately. I’m still eating good off of Drogas Wave, arguably a masterpiece along with Tetsuo.
