Jan 16, 2015 Haven't listened yet, but Lupe's latest music has always been tainted for me after his last two efforts. The comments I'm reading have me a little more excited but still not expecting much, hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised, but again not expecting much.
Jan 17, 2015 Started to break down the album so far, it can be interprited in two ways (it's also playable backwards, he even says it in a song), it's a prequel to The Cool. Madonna, Delivered, the Adoration of the Magi So the mothers of the hood delivered the adoration of The Game (character from The Cool story) In other words, these mothers birthed strippers that are adored by The Game. They were delivered like that because of no father figure, "Peace of man don't come here no more." From a religious perspective, Madonna (Virgin Mary) Delivered (Jesus) the man worshipped by the Magis (Kings).

Jan 17, 2015 Just clucked play a minute or two ago I'm already digging this. I've always loved Lupe (he was my first lyrical rapper) and my only complaint was his production was just OK to me but so far Mural is dope, and I've heard Madonna and Deliver and both are great lyrically and production-wise. I'm sure the rest of T&Y won't disappoint. IDGAF what anyone says, Lu's back.
Jan 17, 2015 perry, i'm not an idiot. if something is obviously good, i'll say as much. i've done it before. i'm just saying lupe has been putting absolute pieces of s--- for records, and it's unlikely some "YOU CAN TELL THE STORY BACKWARDS!" fuckery is going to change that. we'll see.
Jan 17, 2015 Obviously it's going to take awhile to decipher fully, but after 3 full listens this album is fantastic. The production, delivery, and album structure alone is lightyears ahead of anything he's done since The Cool.
