Dec 23, 2015 What makes raps about life, hardships, etc. more "lyrical" than raps about money, women, cars, etc.? Simple example: Why is J. Cole considered more lyrical than Future? Is it the amount of words he uses? Does he use more syllables or something?
Dec 23, 2015 Trap stans are becoming even more irritating than the 'real hip hop' stans these days. Why can't both sides respect each others opinions.
Dec 23, 2015 There's only one man who can bring both worlds together. You know who i'm talking about >: )
Dec 23, 2015 I could see that. In this thread's defense, it was an honest question. I didn't mean to disrespect J. Cole, here.
Dec 23, 2015 I enjoy both equally tbh. Overal sound of the song is much more important to me than lyrics tho
Dec 23, 2015 Same reason Nas and Jay fans didn't get along. There is a perceived break between fun and important music.
Dec 23, 2015 i prefer about life and the struggle since i relate to it more. rappers like Joe Budden make the best music about it too.
