May 4, 2015 Would appreciate some recommendations, too if you have time. I've been a casual fan for a while but don't really know where to start
May 4, 2015 yeah i agree, i hope floyd agrees to this rematch and we get a better showing from pac. pac just said his shoulder was 60%, and that he wants a rematch. doubt floyd does it, but if enough media outlets sensationalize that story, we get a chance. even if manny played reckless and floyd knocked him out, that would have saved boxing too. but the way things played out, geniuses like GGG will probably never be recognized by the mainstream.
May 4, 2015 http://fightland.vice.com/blog/mayweather-versus-pacquiao-winning-the-fight-of-the-century a solid short post-fight writeup
May 4, 2015 I dont want to say it was the best fight, it was far from it and rather underwhelming but its what Mayweather does. Whether we want to agree with it or not he is a very precise fighter and he didnt get to 48-0 without his hardwork and dedication to the sport.
May 4, 2015 So do you disagree with what I said? In your uneducated opinion you think Floyd is top 5 all time? f--- off.
May 4, 2015 This guy is pretty spot on minus the part about him saying Manny won. Outside of that I agree with him for the most part though.
May 4, 2015 heres a history of floyd for the people that don't respect his craft dudes been at it a long time and at this point in his career i have no issues with him fighting defensively i wouldn't want my streak to end either
May 4, 2015 He's always fought defensively. This wasn't something that started recently or as he started to get older.
May 4, 2015 he's always fought defensively but this last fight was a bit overkill imo.. i really think he's scared of losing the streak when he's so close to beating the record
May 4, 2015 The fight was a complete snoozfest. Expected Floyd to be the same usual Floyd and be defensive. You would have thought manny would have been more aggressive considering he had nothing to lose. Glad I didn't piss away $100 and order it.
May 5, 2015 Just saw this. Apparently Floyd told Stephen A he would fight Pac again in a year when he is recovered from his surgery. If that's the case, it either means he will postpone his Sept fight, or that he is going for 50-0. http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...ather-says-willing-fight-manny-pacquiao-again
May 5, 2015 Hope he goes for 50-0, I know his contract's up after 49 but can't see why he wouldn't be willing to do 1 more fight to get the all time record and make it an even 50. Plus a rematch with it being Floyd's last fight would obviously be as big as can be which means even more $$ for him.
May 5, 2015 Yeah I think he should go for 50. IMO I don't think the result of the rematch would be any different than the 1st fight. It would be a great finish to his career if he fought Khan in Sept and follows it with a Pac rematch in May.
