May 5, 2015 Yeah, the general conscious among people that don't watch boxing much is that Manny should of won. I disagree, I think Floyd won but not in a very impressive manner.
May 6, 2015 Any ideas on who he will fight for the 49? I can't really see Khan be picked, it would be too easy for Floyd
May 6, 2015 Yeah, it will definitely be Brook, Khan or maybe even Bradley perhaps? I actually see Bradley as a better option than Khan tbh
May 6, 2015 -Khan already said he cant fight in september due to ramadan -Brook isnt relevant enough, floyd's giving up his belts anyway iirc so the IBF title that brook has isnt attractive -Bradley would be seen as a Pacquiao leftover, rightfully so -Cotto rematch is a possibility bc of Cotto's MW title -Golovkin (a stretch and a big risk for floyd) -Thurman (see above) So yeah... i dont know who its gonna be
May 7, 2015 And he's since come out and said he can fight in September because radaman is early this year. It'll be him or Danny Garcia.
May 8, 2015 Seems like Mayweather has backtracked on giving Pac a rematch. "Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again? Yeah, but I change my mind. At this particular time, no, because he's a sore loser and he's a coward," Mayweather told Showtime in an interview taped this week that will air Saturday night (9 ET) during the network's replay of last Saturday night's megafight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. "If you lost, accept the loss and say, 'Mayweather, you were the better fighter,'" Mayweather continued. "I'm not going to buy into the bulls--- ... and I don't want the public to buy into the bulls---," Mayweather said. "He lost. He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this." Asked whether he could detect a problem with Pacquiao's right arm during the fight, Mayweather said, "Absolutely not. He was fast. His left hand was fast. His right hand was fast, and he was throwing them both fast and strong. Excuses, excuses." After the fight, Mayweather said his shoulders and hands were hurt going into the fight but he didn't make excuses. He said he instead found a way to win, as he always does. http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...es-mind-says-not-grant-manny-pacquiao-rematch I kind of get where he's coming from. If Manny was injured, he should have postponed the fight. Roach said he was healed enough that they felt confident going in. It was like a built in excuse and a ploy to get a rematch. I'm not sure why nobody has said Pac could have re-injured it during the fight. He clearly dominated rounds 4 & 6, so it's definitely possible he hurt it after that. Or one of the many times he was swinging for the fences and hit arm or just flat out missed.
May 8, 2015 Most fighters will have niggling injuries coming up to a fight. Ive lost respect for Pacquaio with his excuses. Floyd hasn't got a KO in a while but if he fights Khan he will KO him.
May 8, 2015 Yeah he changed his mind I guess. to be honest I don't want either one of those fights. danny garcia has already been exposed and outboxed multiple times by Ashley Theopane, Herrera and Peterson. Khan really doesn't bring much to the table either. It won't happen, but Floyd should fight Keith Thurman. He's the only guy that truly stands a chance against Floyd and deserves it.
May 8, 2015 If it's between Kahn and Garcia I'd actually prefer Garcia. I would love nothing more than to see Floyd beat the s--- out of him. I hate Garcia and the fact that he's been on the right side of two of the biggest robberies I've personally witnessed doesn't help. f--- him.
May 8, 2015 You were at his last fight vs Peterson? Al Hayman pulling some strings is probably what happened. I know he manages Peterson too but Garcia is probably more marketable with attention seeking father.
May 8, 2015 He definitely deserved to lose both the Herrera and Peterson fights.. To top it off he probably won't give a rematch to either of them. at least Garcia managed to beat Khan and Matthysse, though. I think Khan probably matches up better against Mayweather than Garcia does, he'd be more competitive.. Garcia would just get his a--- outboxed, he'd be too slow and 1 dimensional for Floyd. How do you feel about Keith Thurman? He's the only guy that I give a legitimate chance against Floyd. Dude is a legitimate KO puncher, has really good lateral movement, and a very good offensive arsenal. Plus he is a pretty big welterweight and is a smart fighter. Thurman actually outdid Floyd's performance against Robert Guerrero and almost KO'd Guerrero.
May 8, 2015 i don't even consider that as a potential fight for floyd. stupid mismatch, GGG is a legitimate middleweight, Floyd can barely even make light middleweight, it's a dumb matchup. In order for the fight to work GGG would have to move down and drain himself to 154, Floyd would have to move up, it just wouldn't make any d--- sense. I'd pick GGG to stop him just because of the size and power difference. GGG is a very sound technical boxer as well, and Floyd wouldn't be able to hurt him. GGG would walk him down and stop him. if GGG wants to pick on a smaller guy, he should fight Canelo. and if not Canelo, he should move up to 168 and fight Andre Ward.
May 8, 2015 really fun to watch, but he needs to move up to 168 and fight Ward soon. Once he fights a few more guys at MW (Cotto, N'd---, Quillin, Lee, Eubank, Tureano Johnson and a couple others) he should move up..
