Nov 29, 2014 Feel free to post whatever you want to in this thread regarding health and fitness. Workout programs your doing, diets, questions, ideas, ect. Whatever.... Anyways I know a lot of you guys love Quest like myself. They're having a decent Cyber Monday sale this year. 25% off of everything and free shipping(US residents only). Also, has anybody tried the Smore's flavor yet? I haven't but am curious to what you guys think. I've read reviews saying it's their best bar thus far but I've also read it was pretty bad. I'll probably stick go with 3 boxes of Cookie's & Cream and 3 boxes of Double Chocolate Chunk on Monday and wait until they've got them in my area to try the Smores.
Nov 30, 2014 I really need to get back to the gym soon. I suffered a slight muscle tear in my shoulder about 3-4 months back and I'm really nervous about going back to the gym. It's fine now, I haven't been receiving any problems at all but i don't want to fly back into it. I'm probably going to leave it until the beginning of the year. I have been doing bodyweight exercises around the house for the time being.
Nov 30, 2014 Was hoping you'd recreate this thread. I want to take advantage of the Quest deal but I'm in Canada so I get r---d in shipping. Hoping BB.com includes Quest in their usual 25% off Cyber Monday deal.
Nov 30, 2014 I recommend this site to any one who wants a good protein powder, cutting weight products or pro hormones. Their beastdrol is top notch. Give them a look, if you're looking for some gear. https://www.mrsupps.com
Dec 1, 2014 As expected, bobdybuilding.com has 20% off all major brands for Cyber Monday. I always stock up No Quest though.
Dec 1, 2014 Any good protein/supplements you can get that don't have any sugar whatsoever AND doesn't contain any fake ingredients/GMOs ? It seems to be a hard find.
Dec 1, 2014 Unreal. I specifically asked them if they were doing Cyber Monday this year and was told "No, Black Friday is what we're doing." So I placed a big order for protein that wasn't even on sale. What the f--- ever.
Dec 1, 2014 Correct. Along with dyes, GMOs, chemicals, etc... I don't any of that s--- and eat a high fat/protein diet.
Dec 1, 2014 Weird that they would tell you that because this is the 3-4 year I've been checking and every year BB has done nothing for Black Friday and the same 20% off for Cyber Monday. They've even used the same 8-bit video game character graphics as what they have up there today from last year.
Dec 1, 2014 Is there a promo code for it? Maybe I'm not seeing it on mobile, but don't see any discounts on their website right now.
Dec 1, 2014 need help with my diet/regimen: i started working out 5+ days a week starting in June. It took me until August to "perfect" my diet. i've been 90%+ perfect with what i've striven to intake ever since then. yet, i'm still not making the gains that i think that i should be making at this point. i've certainly "shifted" fat/muscle around, as I've noticeably made gains in the gym and have cut some (not as much as i'd expect to have) fat. and despite trying to put on mass (i've been trying to cut while gaining), i've maintained the same weight as when i first started my routine...maybe this is actually good and i just need to keep at it (since i know i've successfully lost fat and gained muscle simultaneously, which is difficult to do), but i've been extremely diligent and feel that i should be closer to my goals at this point. please help. my diet -- breakfast: 4 large eggs scrambled, w/ ~.25 lbs of ground turkey or sausage, onions, & peppers lunch: lettuce wrap sandwich, some pulled pork, or a low-carb equivalent snack1: quest protein bar snack2: double scoop protein (dymatize iso 100), mixed w/ water snack3: post-workout double scoop protein dinner: been doing lots of chicken breasts, ground chicken, etc. usually include vegetables -- peppers, onions, been eating a lot of broccoli lately snack 4: usually just some peanut butter w/ celery or hummus & vegetables gym -- mon-fri gym. in the summer months i was also running a few days a week on top of it i go to a very small gym w/ group training sessions. i've never gone to a "boot camp" or done proper crossfit, but my understanding is that my gym shares some of these same properties, but really just offers a good routine, heavy lifting, and some cardio thrown into the mix. some example workouts: 1: sumo deadlifts (5x5) power clean/press (5x5) weighted pull-ups (5x5) tire pull weighted plank hold core circuit 2: weighted pullups (5x5) squats (5x5) dead lifts (5x5) bench press (5x5) shoulder circuit core circuit 3: max @ 2 mins each: pushups jump rope power cleans burpees + ladder (1 of all, then 2 of all, etc… up to 10+): pushups laps plank raises rows
Dec 1, 2014 I love the taste of trutein, great profile. My ex worked at a supplement store and would always bring me quest bars to snack on while I worked at a gym. Easily my favorite thing to munch on.
Dec 2, 2014 If any of you guys are looking for Pre-workout try this stuff called Taze. I just bought it and it's fire. I went out and ran like four miles the first time I tried it. I haven't run four miles...ever, I don't think.
Dec 2, 2014 In regards to @Slyk post about not making gains it could be down to your techique in certain lifts. To get really strong for example in the Squat & to a lesser extent in the Deadlift u need to have very good techique & need to do alot of mobility work. For eg Ive been working alot on my thoracic mobility for my Squat & they feel alot better & more powerful. If u have poor techique u will eventually plateau.
