Supposedly we are days away from an announcement. If it falls through I'll delete this obviously but for now it's looking like the most anticipated fight in history is going down May 2, 2015 at the MGM. It'll be airing on both HBO and Showtime.

About. f---ing. Time. Personally I couldn't be more excited. Yes, it should have happened 5 years ago but better late than never.

Fingers crossed negotiations don't break down.

    I'm so hyped right now.

I honestly don't think this is going to fall through, I believe they had most of this worked out since late last year. All the controversy about them trying to make this work since then has been to bring up the buzz I believe.

yeah feels for real this time in a strange quiet way. wouldnt be surprised if they've kept it on the low whilst hammering out the specifics for a good while.

Very cool, but yeah this matchup feels a little late. I thought they'd never to fight based off what I'd read about the ped suspicions, etc. You tell me though: are these guys still what they once were?

Also, is this more anticipated than Tyson Holyfield, Ali Frazier/Foreman, etc?

It's early. If it goes through this is going to be BIG. They're talking 125 for a PPV purchase. Although that makes me want to throw up I'd be lying if I said I won't be the first idiot who pays that kind of money for this fight.

I know I'm one of SectionEighty's senior citizens but I'm not quite old enough to remember those fights lol so I can't really give an accurate comparison. I am confident in saying this is absolutely the biggest fight of my lifetime.

Yeah, I'll be one of those idiots who shells out the money to see it as well. It just sucks that this wasn't 6-7 years ago

It's tradition at this point. I've bought every fight of his since De La Hoya. Can't stop at the biggest fight of his career.

I see Floyd winning the fight even though he has lost alot of his speed. Pacquiao has lost power & I don't see him winning on points.
Don't think it will a great fight but it will be a great event.
In regards to Floyd possibly ducking the fight the last few years I can understand it . Its different for Floyd as he doesn't want to lose his 0 loss record & Pacquiao has already lost so doesn't have as much to lose. Also there is the suspicions of Pacquiao juicing because of all weights he boxed at which is incredible.
