Dec 13, 2014 They weren't going to introduce magical beings yet. And was he just going to get 10 magical rings out of nowhere? Something as powerful as those would have been on screen couldn't have just been introduced/found/used in one movie. IM3 would have been god awful had they done the real Mandarin
Dec 13, 2014 They did mention the real Mandarin in the short with Trevor in prison. So we know he is out there somewhere, and with Marvel adding Dr Strange to the MCU I can see Mandarin appearing from there if there is another Iron Man film or appearing in another film
Dec 13, 2014 Iron Man 3 came out after the first Avengers film. They already introduced crazy, genocidal aliens, demigods, Thanos, Infinity gems, etc. Magical rings isn't that big of a deal. Not to mention, all the movies occur within the same universe.
Dec 13, 2014 I'm aware im3 came out after the avengers lmao. Magical rings just would have not worked at the time. You have to think in the character's perspectives. They don't know Thanos exists. They don't know what the Infinity gems are. Would have been forcing it.
Dec 13, 2014 Cap 2 > Avengers > Cap 1 > everything else I'm not really into Marvel other than Captain America & Avengers.
Dec 13, 2014 They know Thor and Loki exist, they know aliens exist, they know of the Tesseract, which is an Inifinity Gem. Lots of supernatural/cosmic things are happening around them. A few magical rings aren't that big of a deal in comparison. But taking your position, what they should've done then is introduce the rings in Iron Man 2, to help set the stage for a better version of Mandarin in Iron Man 3.
Dec 14, 2014 So are Inhumans somehow related to the old Hydra from the 1940s? I'm not familiar with their storyline.
Dec 14, 2014 There's a rumour going around that the deal for Spider-Man in the MCU isn't dead just yet. Marvel and Sony are having a meeting early next year and if things work out expect to see Spidey make his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War.
Dec 20, 2014 Possible details on how Ant-Man will connect to the MCU: "According to StarLog, Hank Pym will not only come across Howard Stark and Peggy Carter in the 60s flashback scenes. Supposedly he will also encounter 'a young military hot-head by the name of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross', who was played by William Hurt in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. But that's not all. The article goes on to establish that The Avengers: Age of Ultron will kick-start the events that lead to Civil War, but also that General Ross will be working alongside Stark during the event - which isn't too hard to imagine given his stance on the Hulk. Apparently Hank Pym will be approached by the General in Ant-Man's post credits scene, to recruit him to their effort to register all superheroes with the Government. The article also reveals that Scarlett Johansson'sBlack Widow will be imprisoned during Civil War, which they go on to speculate will lead to Scott Lang breaking her out using the Ant-Man suit."
Dec 21, 2014 yes i've been thinking why thunderbolt isn't in MCU more. there is a lot of military personal in AoS like talbot, but ross is missing. i hope we get red hulk at some point. james gunn wants to do the thunderbolts movie and if marvel get the spiderman rights they could do an thunderbolts movie with most recent roster missing deadpool of course. they have to skip hella lot of spiderman backstory to the point we get agent venom but who cares
