Jun 23, 2020 Of course I’ll blame him, he’s the director! He doesn’t own Spider-Man. He’s there to do a job and the notion that he was adamant about not wanting to use Venom is infantile. Venom is one of the most popular characters in the Spider-Man universe. Everyone was clamoring for his inclusion in a Spider-Man film and Raimi didn’t want to do it. They made him do it and he did a great job sabotaging the character. That’s like directing Batman films and deciding to never use the Joker or Catwoman.

Jun 26, 2020 So I've only recently watched all the Marvel films. Since lockdown actually. Missed Hulk and both Spiderman films though as they're not on Disney+. Hearing good things about the 2 Spiderman films so I'll prob rent or buy them from Amazon. I've spent the last 2 days reading through 77 pages of comments in this thread! Shame I wasn't there from the beginning. And surprised no comments at all about Endgame! So what are the plans for the MCU now? Seems like they've got a lot more potentially coming but I'm guessing no more IM/CA/Hulk/Thor?
Jun 26, 2020 I would just lean into SM if I were them. You have Fantastic four and X-men coming down the pipeline as well. I think they’re in a really good place narratively speaking.
