Oct 8, 2015 He speaks for the youth in projects and those without many good examples. He tries to inspire them to stay husslin and grinding to make it out of their violent or tricky situation.
Oct 8, 2015 He reaches people who would otherwise not be reached. He inspires people who think he makes great music and rhymes mainly because he's seen as alpha.
Oct 8, 2015 How? He's not the first rapper to be in the "IRL gangster" lane. Why is he better musically? What's an example of a deep Meek Mill line?
Oct 8, 2015 There's something in him that appeals to a demographic that's not raised by two parents or a steady home/neighborhood. I've seen it around me bro, i'm not speaking for myself.
Oct 8, 2015 That's understandable and all but again where's the rhymes or instrumentals that make him a good tier artist?
Oct 8, 2015 That's subjective. I'm trying to explain that art has different 'wavelengths' to travel at. If you're a rich dude you're gonna listen to different music than a poor dude. I'm in the middle of that so i couldn't tell you how both groups would have it. End of story (for me at least).
Oct 8, 2015 Good music is good music regardless of social class. Do you think rich people are sitting in mansions looping Magna Carta all day?
Oct 8, 2015 I'm not a fan of Meek bro.. i don't know what exactly the appeal is but i'm defending the fact that others like his voice and his persona. And i can respect and understand that. Meeks a type of dude that's an optimistic hustler imo.
Oct 8, 2015 My bad for being a d-ck by the way, it's all love, I...I just see you giving me fluffy answers. If he's one of those artists that's not that great objectively but you personally love, just say it.
Oct 8, 2015 Nah it's all good you can ask me these questions but i'm not sure if we're derailing the topic now.. I get you're curious but...
Oct 8, 2015 I don't have to proof anything. His fans do. All i'm saying is Meek didn't get squashed like other fanbois eagerly claim. I'm not a fan of neither Drake or Meek. But i can still say that Drake makes better music. I just don't like his sneaky and slimey tactics and claims from time to time. That's all.
Oct 8, 2015 His fans don't prove s---. Plus I've never seen anyone play Meek IRL tbh And I'm not sure where this Drake's slimey meme came from but it doesn't make sense. Chad Warden has gone from a Drake hater to a Drake stan recently.
Oct 8, 2015 But his fans are what prove his success innit? That's fine if you think that. I simply disagree. It's okay if you stan, just accept that i disagree.
Oct 8, 2015 Disagree about what? Meek's legitimacy as an artist or Drake being a slimeball? One is an opinion, the other is a r-----ed lie.
Oct 8, 2015 I guess both if you bring up the legitimacy thing again. Drake uses all sorts of marketing and PR to make it seem as if he's this 3-man team instead of a product.
Oct 8, 2015 But Drake started as an actor, rided Wayne's nuts and gained mixtape hype, he's self made. He gained traction through features and pop-rap. I think he writes the majority of his music.
