Oct 10, 2017 Suddenly though, he is the virtue signaling voice of American liberals everywhere? Amazing what artists will do to try and save their careers. (Haven't forgotten about the racist tape that Benzino let the world hear, either!)
Oct 10, 2017 No. He played a part - to make fun of people who THOUGHT he made fun of gays and transexuals, to annoy them further, so the rest of us could laugh at their inability to comprehend child-like irony. Idiot. Eminem has always been liberal. Anybody who doesn't get that has never gotten Eminem to begin with.
Oct 10, 2017 Yeah... And a lot of America hated him lol it was entertainment. That's what he does He's also not the f---ing president of the United States of America
Oct 10, 2017 Oh I see....so in the 'Real Slim Shady' music video when the gay couple is on the alter and is about to embrace, and Eminem steps in between them to seperate them with a disgusted look on his face, that was all just to make fun of homophobes.....got it You'd make a great defense attorney...you have a vivid imagination
Oct 10, 2017 It's funny how many ppl seriously can't comprehend why someone would be genuinely pissed off by Trump's actions and words enough to do this. So they assume it's for publicity. Just goes to show what level of awareness they have for the s--- that's actually going on with real life humans in the US.
Oct 10, 2017 I dont think this is that great an example of virtue signalling I mean I can see how you might think so but it sounds like a cop-out in lieu of holding an actual opinion
Oct 11, 2017 If you don't understand the difference between shock rap and campaigning on hate for political gain then you're a lost cause.
Oct 11, 2017 That actually was to make fun of homophobes. Man you're missing out on a lot when you don't get the context like that. Are you aware the song Criminal basically says "look how stupid you sound when you accuse me of this" You really can't separate a funny shock line and an actual real opinion?
Oct 11, 2017 Are you seriously going to try and use 'Criminal' for your argument? "Hate f--s? The answer's yes" - Marshall Bruce Mathers in Criminal
Oct 11, 2017 Here I will make it simple for you.....would Eminem dare rap about h----------s in 2017 the way he used to on his earlier albums? You and I both know he wouldn't dare do it.
Oct 11, 2017 Dude, forget about h----------s for now. You are really missing the point of Criminal and therefore not enjoying it properly. You see, Eminem was accused of being homophobic because he had a line in My Name Is that said "my English teacher wanted to have sex in junior high, the only problem was, my English teacher was a guy." and was forced to change the lyric. Instead of saying "No, no, I'm not homophobic" he made fun of those who thought he was by giving them exactly what they wanted to hear, only exaggerated. "Half of s--- I say I make it up to make you mad" - Eminem on Criminal. Eminem was never saying homophobic s--- because he was homophobic, but because he loved to piss off people who get triggered by that. And yes, there's quite a few homophobic lines in MMLP2 said in the same way. As a joke. Eminem also said his brain fell out of his skull when his mother beat him with a remote control. Context is everything.
Oct 11, 2017 This is literally exactly what it is. Your own words have explained it perfectly yet you still don't understand. It still amazes me to this day how much age is important to the listener of the music.
