Sep 4, 2015 If you like gaming, of any kind, you will appreciate this game. MGSV is literally the greatest game released to date.
Sep 4, 2015 I'm 22% btw so here's some tips... -Do side ops, all of them. -especially do side ops if they have a yellow indicator next to the mission name (that means it is somewhat story related and will result in you unlucky things such as D-Walker, Quiet, D-Dog Try to save your resources (especially fuel/common metals) for when you have unlocked base development.
Sep 5, 2015 This game is enormous, holy s---. The main antagonist was dead, the plot was wrapped up, the credits played, and the game just keeps going like nothing happened.
Sep 6, 2015 Goes to mission 45. But most of the chapter 2 missions are the same from chapter 1 but with higher difficulty. My playtime is 84 hours though because I've been pissing around
Sep 7, 2015 This game is not only visually amazing, but the gameplay is just smooth af. Will never get bored of tranquilizing, interrogating, then kicking the dude back to sleep lmao
Sep 8, 2015 Went and played this at my friend's house on the weekend. It was tight. I managed to get about halfway in one sitting.
Sep 8, 2015 Hideo Kojima, lol, more like Hideo Kojenius. This game is unreal. TLOU doesn't compare, sorry. I'm a fan of TLOU and thought it was some of the best story-telling in a game that I had seen in a long time. But MGSV trumped TLOU in every way. Although, the story of MGSV is a bit confusing and TLOU storyline is more straight-forward, i'm feeling actual emotion from a game at nearly every step of the way. Not only that, but this game is pushing boundaries, i'm sure some other gamers here have heard about the strict rules placed for having children in games, like, you cannot k--- them at all (skyrim/fallout/GTAV as big examples). In MGSV there are child soldiers and you can k--- them (albeit, you get game over as soon as 1 dies, but you can actually s---t a kid, unlike any other game released)
Sep 9, 2015 Some of you guys are done already??? Holy s--- haha. I think I'm 8% through lol. I've been doing a ton of side ops and not many main story missions. Just played mission 8 last night and I had to infiltrate a base and it was vintage metal gear. Sneaking into a huge facility where there was a metal gear had me feeling like I was a kid again sneaking around shadow Moses. Speaking of shadow Moses, when you visit it in mgs4
Sep 9, 2015 One of my favorite parts of this game is how powerful they make you feel, without giving you actual superhuman/over the top/over powered s---. Like, I had a Main Mission to blow up a comms tower, just before starting the mission i was doing free roam and side ops hard out. upon starting the mission to "destory the comm's tower" i get radio'd by ocelot who says "Whoa... Boss... your objective was to take out the Comm's tower. But you've already done it!? You truly are a legendary warrior." Nearly every time they radio you, you're being praised for your outstanding actions. calling you things like myth/legend. I dunno, but I really like this aspect. For example, in a game like Gears of War you feel powerful, because it's a really clunky, but also smooth game. You feel like "oh yeah, these guys are walking steroids with giant f---ing guns wow" because of the elements added to make it look like everything is bigger/stronger. MGSV makes you feel powerful in a different way. It makes you feel powerful, because you're 100% in control of the game. So when you choose to execute a mission a certain way, then that mission is a success and they radio like "good job Boss! leave some for the rest of us next time!" It's a different kind of satisfaction. You feel kinda like "I did this mission MY way and it worked so well, NPC's were praising ME for it - I must be really creative/good at critical thinking/decision making/applying strategies" instead of "I was able to get to the set objectives/way-points in time, as instructed by the game - I must be a good gamer" It's hard to explain, but this game actually makes me feel "smarter" in a way. Instead of just zoning out, playing and having fun, i'm finding I'll have to actually sit and think about how I can complete a mission making it that much more rewarding/enjoyable when I complete the mission.
Sep 11, 2015 Chad Warden knows Phantom Pain is the bomb. It's that true s---. But, he couldn't help but notice they dropped a few plot points during the story. Chad Daddy wants more.
