Oct 31, 2019 Me either tbh There's going to be a major death that happens on the last couple of episodes, maybe it's Cas or Sam/Dean
Oct 31, 2019 Yeah I think the show ends w Sam and Dean ( or just one of them and the other making a sacrifice). But if Castiel dies (I really hope not) I hope its even more heroic than Crowley and Rowena. I still hope he somehow gets to rule heaven tho
Oct 31, 2019 So after watching all the Halloween movies again this month, including last years, I think I can now fairly rank it in the franchise; Halloween 1 (10/10) ; classic Halloween 2018 (9/10); imo the best sequel, love it Halloween 2 / Halloween 4 (8/10); decent follow ups that followed the OG even if they aren't nearly as good Halloween H20 (7/10); good but kinda boring and it misses Haddonfield/Halloween vibe Halloween 5 (5/10): kinda pointless Rob Zombie H1 (4.5/10); literally a remake but w the OG characters ruined Halloween 6 (4/10); f---ing thorn lol gtfo Halloween Resurrection (2/10) + one point for Jamie's part, rest sux. Busta smfh RZ Halloween 2 (1/10); ruining all good things about the franshise I saw that several characters are planned to return including lindsey wallace, tommy doyle and marion. Man, pls make 2 good movies so we can have one, perfect storyline! The 4-5-6 one was ruined by 6 and the H20 one by Ressurection.. so pls don't f--- this up.
Nov 2, 2019 @Asmodeus just watched Childs Play 2019. Honestly, incredible. But imo there was one MAJOR mistake. Why the f--- did they promote this as a remake / reboot?? Elms street remake - exactly the same story as the OG Fog remake - same Friday the 13th; just skipped the mum part but again, same Halloween - explores my youth but other than that, same But this movie? Completely different. This was actually a toy going crazy. In the OG it was a serial killer possessing it. Imo it was a shame they were such lazy f---s and actually called the doll Chucky, and even gave the characters the same f---ing names andy, karen, wes and mike lmfao. Also the dolls motives were actually real and I kinda felt bad for it even if it wasn't really a living thing. W the OG we knew from the start it was a f---ing d-ck and dangerous killer, this was a sweet doll that got turned evil / was misunderstood. They really should have made this a standalone movie because it was really good. But I guess they used the brand childsplay and chucky to get people hyped... Great movie, but that was lame as f---. Although I have to give a lot of credit for not simply recycling the original and come up w a totally different approach.
Dec 18, 2019 @Michael Myers something you gotta see. A fan did a recut of Rob Zombie’s Halloween but made it more faithful to John Carpenter’s Halloween. Honestly, he did a masterful job and you must check it out. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Here’s the link.
Dec 27, 2019 Yeah years ago. Not bad but in general not a fan of totally dark movies. I hate seeing nothing lmao (same w blair witch)
Dec 27, 2019 Me too, especially after the trailer. But its nothing like Hereditary and to me not even horror, just f---ing weird. But I won't spoil too much maybe u'll like it!
Dec 27, 2019 I've never seen it I don't think, I might've I can't remember..lol I'll check it out this weekend and refresh my memory
Dec 27, 2019 Lol https://letterboxd.com/tsj/film/midsommar/1/ My review of Midsommar. It's messy, but a major work worth thought to whatever degree. I don't go into horror movies as an adult expecting to be scared, so I wasn't bothered by it walking the line of genre, although it arguably did hold it back.
Dec 28, 2019 Honestly I think it was more a great artwork than an actual good movie. The shots were beautiful. But I do expect to get scared or at the very least feel uncomfortable when I watch a horror movie... here I was bored as f---. The main problem I had is that I didn't give a s--- about the very very unlikable characters. I know the whole movie somehow represents the state of mind of the girl, and yeah, props for that I guess, but it was -to me- just a weird a--- mess that never got me caring... sadly. Maybe its also the high expectations though. Well I hope US won't let me down!
Dec 28, 2019 It certainly meanders, an understandable test. Especially if you're waiting for things to explode or differentiate itself from other cult movies, and it really doesn't. Still, Aster says he made a breakup movie and their interactions are what hold it together. The problem becomes whether you can stand being around these young fuckwads for almost three hours, or if you think it *is* horror and fails at that. And I used to be the same way in terms of wanting to at least feel uncomfortable, but I've seen too many of these f---ing things for even the best to have any effect now. Hereditary is the closest I've gotten, but I still came out of that movie hyped up and excited about how gnarly it was and the ground it covered. For me the draw of horror is finding and creating depth out of it, using these monsters or ghosts or whatever as reflections of somebody's (or history's, or your own) traumas. That's scary to me. Something like The Shining scares me not because of little girls or Jack Nicholson, but the implications of what I feel Kubrick is saying in regards to time, mental health, consciousness, etc.
Dec 29, 2019 One doesn't have to exclude the other here. It was impossible to be around these f---ing awful characters for 3 hours for me but it that doesn't mean it has to be traditional horror. I've seen lots of psychological thrillers that I absolutely loved even if they were labeled as horror. This just failed for me because I never cared for the characters and I felt like turning it off many times because I found it boring. Again, the idea was good and unique but the execution just wasn't for me unfortunately..
Dec 29, 2019 Easy to walk the line between psych thrill and horror. Not so easy to walk the line between horror and breakup drama.
