Nov 1, 2021 Yeah the thing also is.. I'm a huge fan. Which means on one hand I'm more critical and nitpicking it, but also got a soft spot for it. It has so many flaws yet its a beautiful mess to me. If they just kept it simple and smaller, like the OG was so great at, it would have been even better. But another main issue is Michael isn't the calm , emotionless stalker anymore. He's an aggresive, impatient serial killer. And instead of quick, effective kills he's now 'creative' which shows too much emotion into it. Like staging the bodies, playing w his victims (the gay couple) etc he didn't do that s--- in the OG. But yeah, as much as its filled w flaws I do have a soft spot for it.

Nov 1, 2021 I thought he always kinda staged weird s--- to creep people out I.e. the head jack-o'-lantern in 2018 or him dressing as the ghost in the original I just thought they were showing what goes into him doing s--- like that. It did come across as odd though. I'm interested in what's gonna piss people off in Ends since this movie already rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

Nov 21, 2021 dont be mad but I watched OG Halloween recently for the first time... and i thought it was laughably awful. I mean I understand that in those times it had an impact but as a new spectator, it was unwatchable

Og has always gotta be the best in everyone's mind because it's what they grew up watching not just with Halloween. 78 Halloween is good love it but it's heavily flawed, the mythology of Michael not explaining s--- him being a blur in the background the mask etc all great! But that's not even the best actor to play Michael. Everyone wants to talk about how creepy the actor played him like he didn't have Michael running up the stairs like a teenage girl at one point in the movie lol d-ck warlock will always be the best actor to dawn the mask he made Michael move like a terminator a mindless psychopath and took away all the human movements castle gave him.
Nov 21, 2021 Even with the Halloween kills opening scene was it really that good? Did it really even capture the true feel of the og movie? Was the mask even that good? Or is it just because it takes people back to the first film in a decent way? I will say the opening scene was one of the better scenes but I'm not blinded it was just alright only thing I actually liked about it was the first glimpse of Michael walking away from the sheriff The mannerism was on point kept it simple and they hit it all in all gotta say this one quick shot is my favorite part of the whole movie

Feb 5, 2022 havent watched it yet but plan on soon... love that the cast looks good as the usual characters are there too. It’s great having originals neve Campbell, Courtney cox, arquette in it. Always love the cat and mouse game of figuring out who ghost face is every film time flies! S4 was 2011! I’m assuming they mention what happened to Kirby? From the last film? Lol
