Dec 30, 2022 Top 3 would probably be the original, Kills (love seeing Michael in action lol), 2018, and I guess 2 and 4. Not sure about the order with these last two.
Dec 30, 2022 Also, just finished Smile @Marsh Its like, the love child of It Follows and Truth or Dare lol. The weird face stuff really is copied from Truth or Dare and the seeing weird s--- in crowds and passing it on is from It Follows. Except through sex its through trauma / suicide here. What it also has in common with those 2 movies is that in the end the 'problem' is not solved. We still have no idea what it really was and after almost 2 hours of trying to get out of it, the main character is still f-----, or in ToD / IF gonna be f----- eventually. I don't think every horror movie needs to have an happy end or logical explanation (like the Ring, or Grudge eventually made sense), but with all 3 movies I was left with 'okay, so now...?' It definitely leaves the door wide open for sequels, but I'm not sure if thats gonna happen with these. It kinda seems like I didn't like the movie, but that is not the case. Very creepy, I like the story and it was never boring. Some very good jump scares but also a lot of tension the whole movie. Which is kinda the point with horror movies isn't it? So yeah, I think the ending is a little bit of a dissappointment, since we get exactly what she was trying to avoid but also expected to happen. I was hoping for some reveal. But the movie itself was cool. It's like a new genre of weird entities stalking people without any background or explanation given. Don't mind more of those, the 'family movies into a haunted house' stuff is getting a little boring, with exceptions like Conjuring and Insidious franchise.
Dec 30, 2022 They were all disappointments to me (except Pearl which I haven't seen yet). I don't know why people overrated this movies so much this year.
Dec 30, 2022 What u mean? It follows and truth or dare are not from 2022 , just Smile. Or u mean 2022 movies ?
Dec 30, 2022 Ahhh I guess you've never eaten an infested vagine huh Myers? I had the satisfaction some nights back which resulted in some baaaaaad GUTROT bby
Dec 31, 2022 Definition of 'gut-rot' 1. a type of food or alcoholic drink that is unpleasant and poor in quality. 2. an upset stomach Weird username bro
Dec 31, 2022 Oh yeah I haven't really seen much movies, or heard albums in 2022. Need to catch up. I loved Scream 5 tbh. Halloween Ends grew on me, and Smile & black phone were fine. I have yet to see X, Barbarian and some others. As far as other genres, haven't seen many either except that christmas movie with Lindsey Lohan lol. Not a huge fan of the 'big' movies like Marvel s---. I have the 2nd week of januari off, gonna catch up on some movies and music then.
Dec 31, 2022 Black Phone was cool, Scream has things that I didn’t like but I kinda enjoyed and Top Gun and Batman were ok. The only movie I watched more than once was Dr Strange. It’s not as good as I expected, but still enjoy it. Hope to like Scream 6 more than 5.
Dec 31, 2022 It actually the perfect username due to the fact that I get GUTROT every time I read ur posts HA
Jan 4, 2023 Watched X yesterday. Lmao dunno whats with all the good reviews that s--- was terrible. It's hardly a horror movie. First hour is an awkward movie about some unlikable teens making a p--- movie. Then when it seems like the movie comes alive its just very disgusting and more awkward. Never scary, barely interesting. I have no idea what people see in this movie other than that its well made. Right on the pile of Midsommar and US but those are even more interesting.
Jan 4, 2023 And Jenna didn’t even undress lol. They say the prequel Pearl is good but I don’t trust anyone anymore lmao did you see who plays who? In X I mean.
Jan 4, 2023 Isn't jenna like 18? I can get that lol. Mia is almost 30 and showed her t-ts before. What u mean who plays who...?
Jan 4, 2023 X was just a fun Texas chainsaw homage to me, Pearl was good but more for the setting and directing, the horror elements aren't what make it. Mia Goth was incredible in it though!
Jan 4, 2023 Watch Smile and both of the Terrifier movies over the holidays, don't feel like giving ratings so I'll just say I really enjoyed my time with all of them. Terrifier 2 is such nonsense bs that it might've been my favorite out if the bunch lol.
Jan 4, 2023 This movie apparently did so well at early screenings that they changed it from a streaming release to a theater release, Evil Dead is one of the few horror franchises with no bad entries so I'm lead to believe it's staying that way! With this Scream VI and M3gan all coming out early this year it's looking like a fun time for horror, at least for me personally.
Jan 4, 2023 Please watch Barbarian it's one of my favorites of last year, and unlike Marsh I actually liked a lot of movies in 2022 lol Everything Everywhere All At Once and Barbarian are probably my top two but for very different reasons obviously.
