Oct 1, 2024 Some franchises don’t need to go on forever. It’s okay for them to end. We don’t need another Fast and Furious. Keeping them up forever is how you run out ideas and get flops at the box office.

Oct 1, 2024 That’s because Scream only has 6 movies. Halloween has like double that and half of those movies are mediocre. The “look guys we brought back Sidney again!” trick is gonna lose its luster.

Oct 1, 2024 Nah. Franchise build on characters. Laurie for Halloween, Chucky for Childs Play.. the Nancy movies were the best for a reason. The main reason I like the Scream franchise is you get invested in the characters. I was absolutely angry when Dewey died in 5 because he was a member of the Scream family. It took me 2 movies to really care for Sam and Tara. Adding random people like sady sink to the cast isn't gonna make it better. If you take away Gale, Sidney and the origin story its gonna be like the later Elmstreet and F13 movies: nobody will care except teenagers that have a crush on 18 year old child actors lol

It would be sad if this is the last one, kinda hope someone will fix it in the near future I don’t know if another type of Halloween movie would work, about other type of monster. Last time they tried people really missed Michael even with Ends, not just H3.
Oct 1, 2024 I agree! If Scream 6 was the last (or even 5 for that matter) it would have been perfect to me. But starting a completely new story and letting go the people that started all this is not the way to keep it good imo. People are invested in the characters they know. But yeah agree its a huge risk they take... still I take a Sid story over some random new people any day

Oct 1, 2024 I would love for the original idea to be picked up; a Halloween themed movie every year. But yeah people wanted Michael back so after H3 they got him back. But now that he is 100% dead they could do that. Would love it tbh, I like Trick r Treat and Tales of Halloween too
Oct 1, 2024 Yeah but Halloween moved away from Laurie.. And with Jamie Lloyd as replacement they still had a connection to Laurie, so that was okay. Until they started that Thorn bs and decided to ignore... made a decent new storyline w H20, but f----- that up completely with Ressurection lol. I am glad they fixed that to an extent with the new trilogy tbh
