Oct 9, 2024 This isn’t a horror movie but it’s technically a show in the horror genre and I’m about to watch the second season so might as well post my rating of the first season here. Stranger Things 1 I have no complaints about this season. It’s an awesome experience that left me so intrigued that I wanted to keep watching the next episode. There was a lot of mystique here which I really enjoyed. I love the 80s setting. 10/10 Side note: it looks like Stranger Things 2 is set during October. Great timing!
Oct 9, 2024 Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) Wow this movie f---ing s----d. Never wanna watch it again, you can literally watch the first film and you will have seen half of Part 2, I'm not even kidding. The movie is only 88 minutes long and 39 and a half of those minutes are recapping the first movie, basically showing every notable part of the first movie. I'm not kidding, the timestamp for where Part 2 REALLY begins and it's not just the younger brother retelling the first movie is 39:28. Now, I did the math on it. If we take 39 and divide it by 88, that is .44. So 44% of Part 2, is just Part 1 retold as a story. For kicks, the standard version of Part 1 is 79 minutes, so 39/79 is .49 and some change. They show just under HALF OF PART 1 AS THE FIRST ACT OF PART 2. ARE YOU SERIOUS. Then, in a flashback, he goes on a date with a girl to a movie. Guess what the movie is. The movie is f---ing Part 1. Get this stupid a--- movie out of my face. I feel like I actually wasted my night and a movie slot. Can't give a movie where half of the movie is another movie more than 5/10, and this one just kept doing things that made it worse and made me not care when it was actually going. 3/10 Oct 2024 Horror Binge Ranking: 1.
