Apr 19, 2020 Honestly? I hate them. Waay to shakey and s-----y quality for me. Again I get the appeal but I don't like the camera moving fast, people all screaming and shouting etc. It's not for me.
Apr 28, 2020 2003 TCM was grossly underrated. Great film. I remember seeing that opening night my senior year. There was like 6 of us who went and one of my best friends was trouble to say the least. We were all pretty drunk but after that 10 minute span where the dude got his leg cut off and his finger nails torn off as he was being dragged down the stairs he buddy said "im about to throw up f--- this I'm out." and he left the film. 1.5 years later he shot and killed 2 people while injuring one at a party over g--- stuff. Allegedly. Murdering people and prison time is nothing but god d---ed if the Michael Bay produced TCM remake wasn't too violent for him lol. On another note I just rewatched the 2005 Amityville remake(also produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes) I remember being pretty disappointed because it could have been so much better but still kind of a fun watch to this day.
Apr 29, 2020 lmfao swear i experienced similar, got a mate who's shot guns (at other people n s--- - while guns are completely illegal here without HEAVY surveillance/legislation/restrictions etc etc etc.) c---- has legit let clips go at c---- that owe him money like "im spraying... if u get hit... shouldn't owe me money!?" like one of those c---- who LEGIT "makes the news". like he's a cool as f--- c---- and real humble guy, but he is like "nup. f--- that. i'm going home if you don't change the movie" when it comes to fictional horror movies but then on other side of the page is also like "they owe me a few hundred, ill scare the c---- so hard *gratatata @ their friends house*" lmfaooooo. like legit so weird i swear half these "killaz" or whatver from the hood are just f----- in the head
Apr 29, 2020 like i got a couple mates who are just new as s---, they'll be like "yo u sure we should egg this guys house? what if forensics gets our prints of the egg shellls or something bro?!" those same dudes are like "aw yeh horror is boring cause not funny and they dont drink dude... *smashes 2 shots and a bong*" meanwhile the ""shooters"" are like "nup f--- that brah, s----s whack as god got me, not satan s--- i aint participating!" or some whack s--- like that
Jul 6, 2020 @DetroitSkills @Asmxdeus @ComfortablyNumb @M Solo @Rick James @marshmallow @BIGFOOT After a year of anticipating and having huge expectations I finally watched 'US' yesterday. Expected a 'Strangers' kind of movie w some other aspects (the fact that they were copies) but after the first, -great- half our I honestly didn't know what the f--- I was watching. I laughed a lot but not at moments the movie intended to be funny. I kinda get it had some kinda hidden meanings (which were pretty good) and the movie was put together very well, but it seemed more like some artsy bs and definitely NOT a great horror movie except the first part. Such a dissappointment. It reminded me of Midsommar, that was just as embarrassing imo. Lets discuss!
Jul 6, 2020 I definitely prefer 'Get Out' I'd rate 'Us' at a 6.5/10 pretty much agree with your post, they definitely dropped the ball.
Jul 6, 2020 The intro was cool af at the funhouse. And the premise (a family of copycats trying to k--- them and take over their life) as well... but that whole 'underground clone' s--- and the dancing stuff etc. Pretentious as f--- lmao. It was ruined for me when that guy clone started screaming like a r----- and the 'son' was such a weirdo. Also the woman wtf. And then the other family was copied too and the whole world was affected. Man if they kept the pretentious s--- it would have been 10 times better. I'll take The Strangers 1 and 2 over this even if this had so much potential. And yeah get out > Like I said just like midsommar. Also ruined by pretentious artsy bs
Jul 6, 2020 Yes Convince me its not. Is it well made? Yes. Is the filming, the setting, background amazing? Yes. But the movie and story itself is never scary or interesting imo just very very weird and never made any sense -obviously the whole metaphor was cool but would never watch again-
Jul 6, 2020 Yea, "Us" was pretty instersting, but wasn't really scary at all. I liked it when I saw it, but forgot about it the next day... untill you posted about it. 5/10 to me
Jul 6, 2020 Watched “The Beyond” last night. It’s a 1981 Italian gorefest set outside New Orleans, and features an old hotel that’s the seventh gateway to h---. Plot doesn’t really make sense but that contributes to the feverscape feel. Lots of creative set pieces involving people’s flesh melting off >>>>
